you're frowning on a verbatim experience, considering it a presumption _while_ making another presumption? Come on, dude.
Eh. There's a reason the entire noctor subreddit exists. NPs have their places. Replacing doctors with them isn't it.
That is surprising. My primary care provider had a different response. Basically he said something in line of

"You wouldn't believe how much of a relief it has been. In your last visit, you saw me typing everything you were saying, right? I don't have to. I can listen to you and take very specific notes as necessary as opposed to focusing on both typing and listening to you at the same time. It has bought my stress levels down to here." (Indicated by his hand lowering)

The web version went from 100 Pro Prompts per day to...12 per 5 hours lol. I just did 3 back and forth not even technical planning for an infra project and I am ~25% thorough. Insane.

My most recent project has been about having an intelligent layer of self-replicating, perpetual AI "agent" layers (akin to Bobiverse series) between me and my homelab[1]. I should have to do the bare minimum to interact with my homelab -- it should for the most part, run by itself. I recently spoke on Linux Unplugged Podcast Ep 652 [2] about this project as well.

I reckon they'll be fine. Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, but they have enough customers who won't leave.

Eh, People form emotional connections with inanimate objects, so I'm unsure if that's a good enough argument tbf.

Surely you see it's somewhat unreasonable? As if it was written by the author you disliked, and until you knew of the fact, you quite enjoyed it.

Quite honestly, I do that sometimes too -- but I _know_ that it's unreasonable.

Re:The thing that brought me joy on Saturday January 17, 2026 @05:29PM (#46662754)
Ironically I have a somewhat of a different view - I love rubber ducking and tinkering with LLMs. Sometimes they come up with a use case that I would not have thought of, but I would have liked to have maybe 2 weeks later. Other times it is nitpicking each others' code etc.

It'd probably be easier to get on an ESP-32, no? Those are arguably more widely available.
Re:Matrix Conference 2025 Highlights on Monday October 20, 2025 @01:55PM (#45646959)
Brother, look at reviews for element x for android on play store. Come on, you're being intentionally obtuse.
Re:Matrix Conference 2025 Highlights on Monday October 20, 2025 @10:59AM (#45644696)
It's not buggy? You should try going to the app store(s) and looking at reviews.
US isn't a singular entity. A bunch of states do quite a lot for their populace in general.
Re:Disk Prices on Wednesday October 15, 2025 @05:18AM (#45589907)
I am not sure if Inflation and Tariffs even both together make the price >2x in ~1 year
Re:Disk Prices on Wednesday October 15, 2025 @12:13AM (#45588000)
March 2024 price for 12 TB refurb : $76.

The one I bought literally this month : $169.

Same WD drive from gHD.

What makes margarine not "good for you?"
Re:My Ultimate Self-Hosting Setup on Saturday July 19, 2025 @12:38AM (#44612646)
Seconded. A dell optiplex micro or hp pro desk with 7th Gen or 8th Gen i5 is approx $40-55 on eBay if you look. Works flawlessly.
There are cars that are primarily based on touch.
Re:OpenAI dropped the price of o3 by 80% on Tuesday June 10, 2025 @09:13PM (#44243267)
What free stuff? It requires a paid API.
Hah. Same. I have a step by step "reasoning" agent that asks me for confirmation after each step (understanding of problem, solutions proposed, solutions selection, and final wrap) - just so it gets red back the previous prompts and answers rather than one word salad essay.

Works incredibly well, and I created it with its own help.

Why should it not? What's the point of having an effectively open information network if you're going to just let each nation state arbitrarily censor/manipulate it as they see fit for their own peasants?

You'd agree with say, <insert country> mass blocking sites for their people just because the sites say something about democracy?

Re:Design for 3D-Printing on Sunday May 04, 2025 @08:05PM (#43890713)
the Bambu P1S with AMS is one of the better purchases I've made. I've had an ender3v2 for so long and while it worked ok (and arguably better than many people's experiences with them), I got tired of constantly fiddling with stuff.

Now, it just works. It doesn't matter what I throw at it. Made me get into the CAD hobby too.

>use Claude to write your parametric OpenSCAD scripts

Can you talk a little about it?

Re:Berkeley Humanoid Lite – Open-source robot on Saturday April 26, 2025 @07:13AM (#43802603)
Hm, perhaps not - but maybe give the users an option to print such parts, and warn that they may affect longevity of said parts if they do decide to go full manufacturing route.

My potential concern is the "Apple" gatekeeping of parts.

I strongly suggest reading Neil Shubin's "Your Inner Fish" which explains a bit more on how different bits etc evolved if you're interested in the topic.
