A way to buy plastic bins by dimension size instead of volume. That supports multiple stores.
Politics happen due to people. There is this myth that you don't need management or leadership at all. But there are enough examples of bad managed teams and bad self directed teams that its pretty obvious that politics happen in the absence of management.

Re:Safe Superintelligence Inc. – Ilya Sutskever on Wednesday June 19, 2024 @01:39PM (#40730540)
If you had a superintelligence it could basically manipulate people so even if you don't connect it to the internet it could try to further its goal. There is also a chance that their goals are not the same as ours.

So we need a way to discern intent from AGI and higher and the ability to align the goals.

With that said I'm not sure if we ever get to them being self driven and having goals.

Its replaces 3 lenses your 35(mainly), 28 and 45 so worth it.

Discussion: How do you reach out for projects when working idependently

Hi, I moved to working freelancing september and had a full pipeline from my network but the work seems to be stalling after May and was wondering what tips do people have.-Some of the ideas I'm considering are fiver and upwork but this seems to be a competition for bottom prices. Ex was charging $125 an hour for the most Jr engineer work on my team and over there seems like it tops around $80...

Re:Writing better by answering why, what, how on Monday June 13, 2022 @01:30PM (#31728671)
I find this works great in 1:1 communication. Inverting 1 and 2 has been more successful for me on communication to a larger audience.

Example:

Need to update windows by tonight or you won't be able to log in. Because x xploit.

Compared to:

We have been notified of x xploit. We all need to update windows by tonight.

But good framework.

Re:What will you do after tech? on Tuesday May 24, 2022 @11:10AM (#31493129)
I'm planning on becoming a High school teacher. for the last 20 of my career
How did he use dall-e 2?
I disagree on the hobbies I like trying to get to excel on the ones that stick and then suddenly. Once I prove I can do it I relaxed. For example on photography went on the competition cycle and ended with some winners and with one picture on a good museum for awhile.

After that the pressure was off and now I just do dog photo's for instagram from the dog park :)

Re:Why do so few people major in computer science? (2017) on Tuesday June 30, 2020 @03:21PM (#23693765)
I used to be like this then my interest broaden a lot when I was about 22. I basically have friends now that I only talk via chat or when I want to talk tech since my old crowd would just chat about it perpetually.

If you ever watch the movie on the basis of sex. I feel is a clear example of why people want to go to harvard. Its a feeder to positions of power.
Re:Who Y Combinator Companies Want on Tuesday December 08, 2015 @07:05PM (#10700829)
I just had my company go over and put this in the manual I basically took 3 days in the last two years i was like yeah we need to fix this.

Not really you don't get to see surgeons operate when applying to a position. There is a lack of trust why this whiteboard stuff happens to be honest I pass about 60% of the white interviews that i did.
I'm going to add this up see how much little scratch we are talking about. 8 developers at let's say a $60 dollar rate 60840 = 19,200

Now lets take into account that they put a contract of equity at the start so they are also 0.4% of equity owed of that company to each one.

Last but not least it kinda ruined the experience over the weekend.
