Why do you think so? I do have the impression, that once GPT code interpreter is open access, there is a huge part of data science that will be automated. I think in many cases it will be 'enough' to have subject matter expert without much data science knowledge to 'get answer out of data'. e.g. https://twitter.com/emollick/status/1657050639644360706?s=20
Looking at some examples of GPT Code Interpreter that people have posted, you can see that you can e.g. without knowing much about Python generate a great data analysis from just a dataframe using AI.

Ask HN: What (programming) skills will still be relevant in a year?

I am data scientist who also has some intermediate knowledge of front-end and general application development. Always wanted to get more into the latter and become a better programmer. However now I feel like whatever I invest time in learning right now is quite likely to be "useless" due to AI in less than a year. What would you focus on learning if you wanted to work in the computer / AI /...

Thanks for sharing!
My main reason for not wanting to support the government is actually that I do not want to support warfare in any kind. I consider myself a pacifist and thus don't want my money to potentially indirectly finance violence (even if its 'against the bad guys').

Ad media: Agree - everything is biased. And also agree that there is not one 'western media', nonetheless, I believe that there could be relevant information on this conflict that is not easily accessible via common media outlets. Also, I am definitely pro-Ukraine but these things are never just black and white.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Ad Donations: So far that is the only viable thing I see. I guess its more a philosophical discussion but a bit unsure 'how far to go'. I am already regularly donating part of my income to charity and just recently graduated university - so donating more money to Ukraine would force me to make my current lifestyle cheaper (i.e. reducing the times I go for coffee, eat out, trying to reduce consumption overall) which, compared to what Ukrainiens are going through is obviously only a small sacrifice but on the other hand also feels a somewhat radical thing to do? Maybe I am just too much immersed in our capitalist society that lacks solidarity?

- Ad car: Unfortunately no car and quite far away.

- Ad Foreigner Legion: As mentioned in my question I explicitly don't want to support Ukraine army. I will, under no circumstances pick up a weapon to fight in a war.

Ask HN: Anything an ordinary person can do to support civilians in the Ukraine?

Obviously, whats happening in the Ukraine right now sucks - reading about civilians being killed just leaves me incredibly scared, angry, sad and most of all helpless. It feels hypocritical to me to continue my daily life as before while there is a war going on in Europe. But is there anything that we - 'normal' people - can/should do? Should I donate a part of my income? Any other...
