Yeah T the
Probably simply "makes you feel full longer".
They changed something about the noodles and now they are way overcooked if you follow the box instructions. And you need way more butter to get a similar flavor to before.
Because that's a syscall ;) https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/flock.1.html is the command line manual.

I would say one good reason is that

  waitlock myapp &
  JOB_PID=$!
  # ... do exclusive work ...
  kill $JOB_PID
is a lot easier to use and remember than

  (; flock -n 9 || exit 1; # ... commands executed under lock ...; ) 9>/var/lock/mylockfile

Got to number 15 and the color was #C61. My choices were #D52, #161, #C61, and #C63. Sadly, I guessed #C63 and lost.

Maybe there should be some minimum distance between all of the choices.

Of course if they do, I hope they will say "either modified Apache or the GPL".

My company's lawyers made a big stink about us using jQuery plugins that said "and" instead of "or".

Re:9.8 Critical Vulnerabilities in Ingress Nginx on Tuesday March 25, 2025 @09:32AM (#43471074)
This makes a SSRF bug go from "oops, that's bad" to "oops, your whole cluster is pwned", right?

The thing I wish more error messages did was tell me exactly which file was not found.

This is actually an option in the settings (on desktop, at least).

Re:JavaScript garbage collection and closures on Wednesday July 31, 2024 @03:05PM (#41122339)
>closure #2 closes over closure #1

I don't see this in the example. Closure #1 is never bound in the scope, as far as I can tell. Could you explain how closure #1 is closed over without being bound?

If you're shipping from northern hemisphere to northern hemisphere, then you also save to time/fuel to go down to Panama. No idea if that's significant or not.
This and the original reminded me of this really old Chrome Experiments demo, and some others like it: https://experiments.withgoogle.com/browser-ball
Re:TypeScript NPM Packages Done Right on Sunday September 24, 2023 @12:40PM (#37634650)
https://github.com/angular/tsickle kind of does that. Though it's kind of deprecated and more specifically aimed at the Closure Compiler.
Re:Write Posix Shell on Sunday March 12, 2023 @06:09PM (#35126950)
I like both Bash and Python, so I think I'll give this a try. Should I implement the bugs as is, or fix those first?

Maybe not easy, but as you said, there are other methods that can be very accurate. Look up Wi-Peep for an example.

No, we don't. Here is a 4 minute video explaining how this bit of misinformation came to be spread across the internet. https://youtu.be/2Ntp6BqhSng

Re:Does Georgism work? Is land a big deal? on Friday December 10, 2021 @04:27AM (#29508049)
Taxing different entities at different rates just opens the door for a middle-man with a lower tax rate to profit from simply renting the land to the entities with higher tax rates.

I think the first is the 32 bit int version of 127.0.0.1, and 0177 is the octal representation of 127.
I also immediately saw the allusion.
Your comment reminded me of this minutephysics video about the census. https://youtu.be/pT19VwBAqKA It a great walkthrough of the "privacy doom principle."

I often need to covert timestamps to and from UTC. I sure hope I don't end up in a -6:30 timezone.

Out of curiosity, was that with closure's simple or advanced optimizations?
