You finding joy in it, does not mean everyone does. She is not interested, drop it and respect her choice.
Have a master degree but not STEM related at all.

I've been studying on my own for a few months now for a potential career switch. Things are going well, but because I am already studying full time, might as well get a degree in the end. My requirements: it has to be online and open to anyone from anywhere (have a 3rd world country passport and live between France and my home country), and has to be recognized by north America and EU....
I'll take a look, thanks.
Thanks, I'm already exploring this alternative due to covid.
Thanks for the tips, I will definitely do this.
With covid, that's illegal where I live so not possible. Waiting for the vaccine to increase herd immunity and we'll see.

I'm in the process of learning how to program (full time) with a heavy focus on Java and web technologies. My goal is to switch career by the end of the year, even doing basic stuff as long as I'm in. But this is so out of my network circle, built naturally by going to college, plus years working in accounting. I feel lost that I can't really talk to anyone about it, covid19 does not really...
Because animals are food, that's literally the most natural thing ever. Nature is violent, period. Animal suffering, of course I'm against it, but killing an animal with respect and then eating it without waste is another thing.
Thanks a lot, will take a look into those once I know more.
Thanks, I know about them, but it's on the site only as far as I know and I'm leaving soon. Their methods are quite extreme for my taste also, heard some bad story.
Yes... but I'm done with accounting for now. I can always come back and take my old job if things go wrong anyway. I'm in need of pursuing new and exciting stuff.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm done with accounting for now, I'm looking to try something else. If money becomes tight I can always come back and take back my old job, they are pretty nice.

I just turned 30, quit my job as I want to pursue some other adventures in my life. I'm from one of the poorest country in the world, Madagascar, but I've been living and working in France for the last 12 years. I came to study and stayed when got offered a job as an accountant. The thing is, I miss my country and going on vacation is not enough anymore, plus my parents are getting older, I'd...
From Madagascar here, and it sucks.
- There are other problems to solve before getting there (Food, housing, education and so on ...). Take banking for example, where only around 30% of adults have bank accounts.
- Hardware price is way too high for a poor population. And if you have access to hardware it probably is some random cheap slow Chinese computer/phone if you're not top 1%.
- Networks/Internet are ok in big towns, it improves fast compared to everything else though, IF you can pay. 55 bucks for 100 Mbps up/down, that's 1 month minimum wage on paper (majority still earn less).
