Disclaimer: I am building EdgeNode with my friend.
If you do though, you should take a look at https://edgenode.com, which I helped build (we host server-less containers on edge)
Amazon and Google operate their services globally to eliminate this issue and increase service reliability. However, setting up and maintaining such an infrastructure is technically challenging and very costly.
With EdgeNode, we want to enable companies to scale globally in a cost-effective and developer-friendly way.
EdgeNode runs your existing apps (Next.js, Ruby on Rails, Laravel, Spring, Django) or Docker containers globally on the edge, no modifications required. Your application scales down to zero instances when there are no active requests, so you only pay for the resources you use.
We're committed to make global deployments as simple as possible. To achieve that, we will offer a one-click deployment process, eliminating complex configurations and minimizing the time and effort required to get your application up and running on the edge.

Garph enables you to build end-to-end type-safe GraphQL APIs using TypeScript. It aims to provide the best possible DX for GraphQL.
Changelog:
- Updated the React-client
- Added GraphQL Subscriptions
- Cursor-based pagination
- Included Relay building blocks (nodes, edges, connections)
- Additional type-safety for resolvers
- Updated DocumentationYou have a TypeScript backend and TypeScript frontend and want to expose the GraphQL API to third-party consumers or add a mobile app into the mix
And since Garph produces a spec-compatible GraphQL API you can use it with existing tools like Hasura, Apollo, Stellate, AWS AppSync, etc.
Exactly. The problem with tRPC and other projects alike is that they don’t provide you an actual API that you can later consume, but an RPC “glue”, which is not based on any standard at all
This is why frameworks like ts-rest (based on OpenAPI) and Garph (based on GraphQL) emerged

Show HN: Automate API Testing and Quality Assurance with Step CI
https://github.com/stepci/stepci/releases/tag/2.6.0
The HN community has been very supportive of our recent launches, which is why we want to give you an update. Here is what changed with the latest release: - Addition of OAuth (Client Credentials flow) and Client Certificate auth - Reusable credentials - tRPC API support - Load Testing (HTTP and gRPC) - Splitting tests across multiple files - Various bug fixes, stability improvements...
Show HN: Measure CO2 emissions of your APIs
https://docs.stepci.com/guides/co2-testing.html
Have you ever wondered about the carbon footprint of your API?This week, the 27th climate summit takes place in Egypt. This inspired us to draw attention to the emissions produced by our online behaviour. We introduced some CO2-related features to our API testing tool: - Calculate carbon emissions of an API call - Set up a check to validate that your API endpoint doesn't cross the limit when...
Show HN: Step CI – open-source lightweight alternative to Checkly
https://github.com/stepci/stepci
In our last post, we showed that there is an easy way to generate automated tests for Rest APIs from your specification.Since the last release, we have added some new features: - Generate tests from your API spec in the CLI - Run tests against gRPC APIs automatically - Get request and response information when your tests fail - Generate fake data and use them in the requests - Bring...
Thanks for your critical feedback.
Could you please tell us more about your strong opinion against test generation?
You can generate tests from your OpenAPI definition using the “import from OpenAPI” button on our website.
The tests are generated from your request/response examples. If there are no examples given/available, we will generate examples for you based on the schema provided.
Our OpenAPI (Swagger) integration is currently in Beta and only available through our website. We acknowledge, that it is not ready for prime-time just yet
Everything we do is open-source. You can see the list of issues in the repository and contribute if possible: https://github.com/stepci/plugin-openapi/issues
Disclaimer: We have tested our OpenAPI integration with the Petstore example and some other API definitions we had available. In both cases the generated tests would run after only some little adjustments
Thanks for sharing Venom!
Certainly, there are lots of tools in the space, both SaaS and open-source. Mish and I can name you a few!
However, there’s one thing these tools seem to be missing - a greater goal.
Our vision is to give you a tool that will free you from writing and maintaining API tests ever again - in any shape or form. What you currently see from us is the first step!
Show HN: We built a tool that automatically generates your API Tests
Hi, this is Mish and Sebastian. We are working on Step CI - a fully automated API testing platform for developers.Step CI works programming-language independent and for different API paradigms (REST, GraphQL, XML).Our CLI and test runner are available on GitHub (https://github.com/stepci) under the MPLv2 license.Since our last launch, Step CI is now able to generate automated tests for your API...
