Re:Notepad on Windows 11: Can't Open New Text Document.txt on Sunday September 21, 2025 @11:28PM (#45328823)
I know that a system update might solve this problem, but this is really unbelievable. I thought Notepad should be something fundamental and solid—something that would never fail me on Windows.

Now it's not.

Re:Show HN: I recreated Windows XP as my portfolio on Saturday September 06, 2025 @09:20PM (#45154451)
I need to right-click and refresh the desktop, please.
Re:Turing Machines on Saturday December 21, 2024 @09:36PM (#42484018)
Thank you, finally I got a chance to understand this concept, nice writing, nice sketches.
Re:qlot: Common Lisp Library Manager on Friday August 09, 2024 @07:54PM (#41206372)
I also bet my money on ocicl, because of its systems.csv for locking versions of dependencies.

Re:Hidden 3D on Thursday August 31, 2023 @03:26AM (#37333645)
No, if you can see it, I think you should be pretty sure. I just managed to see it the first time of my life, I was shocked, it's so amazing.

Re:Cakelisp: A performance-oriented Lisp-like language on Friday June 02, 2023 @05:29AM (#36163012)
For anyone who didn't know yet, from the file ReadMe.org:

> Note that while Cakelisp has "Lisp" in the name, Cakelisp takes some inspiration from Lisp, but is not compatible and does not aspire to become "a Lisp". I was inspired by Naughty Dog's use of GOAL, GOOL, and Racket/Scheme (on their modern titles). I've also taken several ideas from Jonathan Blow's talks on Jai.

I like this one.
The Scheme people would be unhappy then.
I'm quite unhappy with SBCL located in Schemaria:

https://anvaka.github.io/map-of-github/#12/13.469/-8.175

It should be Lispaña.

Re:Intel One Mono Typeface on Saturday May 13, 2023 @12:22AM (#35925489)
From the README:

> ... legally blind developers provided feedback at each stage of design.

This makes me curious.

I guess we are not allowed to find ourselves without a click on that page.

I think we should have a cup of coffee together. :-)

Re:Show HN: Mergetin - browser puzzle game on Thursday January 05, 2023 @05:27AM (#34258032)
Smooth game.

I would like it more if there were some sound effects.

Re:What to do if you’re stopped by the police on Monday January 13, 2020 @08:12PM (#22040759)
I really appreciate something more like this, with more countries included other than USA, like: India / China / Russia
Re:The secret afterlife of lost German luggage on Tuesday December 24, 2019 @12:51AM (#21870153)
I spend 3 minutes to find out this has nothing to do with German language.
Re:Firefox Local Files Theft – Not Patched Yet on Wednesday July 03, 2019 @06:21PM (#20349514)
But still seems horrible to me.

If you're supposed to peer review the static web page designed by your coworker (the one who was hacked), it may steal things from your work folder.
