Re:The SEC Should Block Anthropic's IPO to Protect the Public on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @10:15AM (#50353045)
I will support any politician whose sole purpose in life is torch AI companies.
I'm so excited to see these companies crater.

I saw this coming a week ago and yanked my investments away from stocks. CRASH AND BURN, BABY!! WOO!!
Re:Binance-hacker-1029 – $5.6B stolen from Binance on Friday October 30, 2026 @11:39AM (#50305494)
I'm so happy about this hack. Truly the happiest Friday I could have wished for.
AI companies maybe shouldn't be riding the coat tails of other people's money, intellegence, nor IP.
Why would they? He isn't H1-B.
I would be very interesting in seeing who this spy is, and what her relationship with him was.
Innovation, markets, trade, technology, curiosity -- none tied to capitalism, much less exclusive to it.
Re:OpenAI's agents talked to each other through the CPU Cache on Thursday October 29, 2026 @11:30AM (#50290663)
I have a person who I sort of consider a mentor. They recently started sending me these articles in awe of what the agents are doing, and it has really soured my perspective of their abilities.
Sure, it's not the capitalist vore machine that needs to increase growth every quarter, so it does to tech industry what was done to automobile industry in the 60s.
Re:Epic Games' new vibe-coded launcher is 46% faster than Steam on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @05:16PM (#50095444)
It's clear that Epic keeps track of the consumer and industry pulse by shooting themselves on the foot and tracking litters of blood lost per minute.
Re:Character.ai files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @09:31AM (#50087527)
Good. I hope nothing like is rises again.
Intelligence / hearts & minds are domains of warfare.
More of this, please. I'm tired of state actors sowing division alongside political pundits, all for the purpose of distracting from the class warfare being waged against the American people.

WOAH, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING IS DEAD! BUY MORE TOKENS!
Prions are one of the scariest things to me
Housing should not be a commodity
“Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. F*ck Hope.” ― George Carlin

Re:We're working on a new RuneScape MMO on Sunday October 04, 2026 @10:12PM (#49959959)
Wife and I cancelled our subscriptions when the CEO cancelled the LGBTQ event in game, claiming that it was "too political" -- an event that had already ran for years up to that point. The continuation of the event was not too political, but its cancellation sure was.

Jagex can do what it wants, wife and I are staying away from any product that panders authoritarian dogwhistling.

Re:Why Is Sam Altman a Free Man? on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @09:23AM (#49908604)
Sam Altman could sexually assault children and not go to jail. Many of his peers have sexually assaulted children; they have not gone to jail. The interogator that helped keep the Ideal Living from going to court said it best -- and I paraprase:

" Justice is not fair. The justice system doesn't care who is right, they only care who has more money, and I see billions of dollars in that room, and I do not see billions of dollars in this room. "

Re:Memory Companies Have Destroyed the Consumer Market on Tuesday September 29, 2026 @05:10PM (#49900604)
I hope so. I feel so, so, so terribly guilty for not building my wife a computer for her in 2023. She is rocking a 1080ti, and I really wish I had at least upgraded her system, but now I just straight cannot afford to even consider it, given the price of rent, food, gas, energy, all on top of the actual hardware prices.

And I am a SWE.I am not making bad money. I can't imagine what others are going through.

Remember that Ghislaine Maxwell was a moderator one the largest news subreddit.
