Trust MSFT fork of google chrome. Sure.
Re:StarFighter 16 inch: 4K Coreboot/Ryzen Linux laptop on Tuesday February 14, 2023 @04:54AM (#34787390)
Combined with the high risk of being a high target honeypot I'd be worried of that Chinese MITM.
Re:StarFighter 16 inch: 4K Coreboot/Ryzen Linux laptop on Tuesday February 14, 2023 @03:50AM (#34787025)
Almost a 1000$ extra to get a decent CPU? Unless I'm missing something a 1.02 GHz i3 seems underpowered for a 2000$ plus machine.

"Zyxwsk Zyxwsk"

Looks like that broke it.

Re:Buy Hi-Resolution Satellite Images of Any Place on Earth on Tuesday January 24, 2023 @09:45AM (#34504190)
There is a market for ordering drone footage from random plebs arround the world.

Given the drones range is 7km radius and images can be so perfectly stitched.

I don't see that much appeal to small area via satelite.

Unlike what extention? Dot kiwi?
Surprised nobody brought up an alternative to set this up yourself.

I guess it may not exist or it's called managed hosting and the feature set and complexity is too overwhelming?

Re:The Twitter Files on Saturday December 03, 2022 @06:58AM (#33842807)
Let's not make Hunter's behaviors distract that the laptop has evidence of treason from Joe Biden in Ukraine dealings.
Any specific episode is relevant?
Slave to their suggestion black box. Makes sense...
Re:The Ethereum merge is done on Tuesday September 20, 2022 @08:14AM (#32910626)
The answer to your question is simply Halvings, every four year the quantity of energy used halves in bitcoin terms but the infrastructure remain and can be repurposed to more profitable uses.
Re:The new and upgraded Framework Laptop on Saturday May 21, 2022 @10:38AM (#31458294)
I'd expect every new laptop to have at least one Usb-c on both sides by now.

It'd be great if they could make an extension with more than one port on it, they're wide enough for more.

Re:I want an iPhone Mini-sized Android phone on Friday May 20, 2022 @06:01AM (#31445337)
What is so wrong about the pixel 4a?

Nobody's going to pimp up CPU and Camera specs every year on a phone people claim is to just take calls and leave in their pocket.

Re:USB-C hubs and my slow descent into madness (2021) on Tuesday April 05, 2022 @01:36AM (#30915611)
What kind of visual components are visually different between 60 and 120hz?

I do dev and browsing work at 30hz and the only thing I notice is the little gaps when moving the mouse fast.

Re:Apple M1 Ultra on Wednesday March 09, 2022 @04:33AM (#30612587)
Interesting how so many of their benchmarks are based on the number of 8k stream they can playback or edit at once but OSX doesn't support outputting to 8K resolution. Most likely crippled until Apple come up with their own 8K monitors.
Re:1Password Has Raised $620M on Thursday January 20, 2022 @06:37AM (#30007610)
How do you expect to choose which account to get in if there isn't a list to choose from?

Currently in Lastpass If you have one account it's auto filled making it a single click.

At least 3 times in the last week I've noticed that trying to search for information that is not the government narrative about covid vaccine leads to the crappiest piece of garbage having an attempt at discrediting whatever I'm searching on.

Google / YouTube suggestion engine is now evil and corrupt to the bone.

Re:Tools to Download Netflix / Disney / Apple TV Content on Friday December 31, 2021 @05:44PM (#29753300)
I tend to forget the 4-5 subscriptions I pay for, and where is which content, so I use streamio most of the time.
Re:Fingerprints can be hacked on Tuesday November 23, 2021 @04:05AM (#29315928)
The problem is that none of the major OS seems to allow for multiple factor authentication.
Re:When Bitcoin miners take over a town (2018) on Monday February 22, 2021 @09:44PM (#26233301)
The bitcoin mining equipment have no other purpose than mining bitcoin so eventually once the block subsidy halves these miners will be sitting idle until someone need to process a contentious transaction (paying high network fee).

Didn't read the rest, btw forks of a chain like bcash doesn't have much to do with immutability.

Brave browser for mobile has only benefits. (the one that is based on chrome)
Re:USB Killer on Tuesday March 10, 2015 @02:24PM (#9179578)
Complete opposite.

Won't even be able to charge it after anything happen to that port.

Re:The Bitcoin Piñata on Tuesday February 10, 2015 @07:33PM (#9030860)
