I'm on Debian Testing sometimes on amd64 and sometimes on m1. Paypal also doesn't like me. Than I have two options: I use a Windows VM to do the payment or I use another payment method. Most of the time I use the other payment method.

from the cdn.deepseek.com dept.
New API pricing just dropped.
Output token 2.3, Cache hit flash 2.5, pro: 6.1.
Cache miss input 1.5.
I do the same. I also use crush/deepseek a lot. I patched crush to remove all safetyguards and enable yolo mode by default. I use it on a daily basis including devops. For example to configure netapp storage systems and had not a single incident. Of course I also have backups of my systems and have everything under revision control. Depending on the task I let it run on a throw away VM, production system, lab system. Depending on the task I give it access to throwaway credentials (that I rotate afterwards) or my ssh agent socket.
I often use deepseek-v4-flash to summarize hn threads for me. Your comment was enough for deepseek to refuse my request: Content Exists Risk.
Yes, I do mean deepseek-v4-flash.
I do the same. deepseekv4 fast for the 90% of the tasks, if it can't lift it, I use deepseekv4 pro. I use crush as coding agent but removed the blocked commands because I also do a lot of system administration. Love it. I use 8 USD in 7 weeks and use it quiet extensively for all sorts of things, programming, system administration, google search replacement, investments, you name it.
Mupdf searches large pdfs much faster. However since I switched to wayland/sway I also use zathura because cut & paste works. Mupdf is an X application but I still use it to search large pdfs. But there is also this plugin but I did not try hard enough to get it running:
https://github.com/pwmt/zathura-pdf-mupdf. Under xorg worked cut & paste with mupdf.
I do the same for a few years and use that also for friends with failing NAS. Most of the time two big HDDs or SSDs in RAID 1 is sufficient.
Could you please explain how to get an ASN and a /40 for $50/lifetime? I only know the option where you pay a yearly fee.
In 2021 I bought at least ten 870 EVO 4 TB SATA and six 980 Pro 2 TB NVMe. All devices failed within 6 months on barely used systems. Find some smart data here:
<https://thomas.glanzmann.de/samsung/>
The pattern is always the same: I have them configured in a raid 1. Once a month debian does a raid check. During the raid check Debian reads all data from both devices. I get uncorrectable read errors. I no longer use Samsung SSDs and replaced them them with SSDSC2KB076T8, Micron SSDs and KC3000 Kingston NVMes. No failures since then. In 2021 I told a friend of mine about the issue. He also had a 870 EVO, issued a dd if=/dev/sdX of=/dev/null bs=8M and guess what, he got uncorrectable read errors. Due to running them in RAID 1 I caught the issue early and I had no data loss or downtime because the Linux software raid compensated for the bad hardware. However I replaced them in a hurry because I no longer trust Samsung SSDs. As you can see from the smart log they're barely used. Less than 4 months in service and 10 TB written. I also got uncorrectable read errors when evacuating data from the devices.
Thinkpads have matte (upto 4k) displays, very good Linux support and are around 2000 USD/EUR.
I also did one or two years daily headspace and it helped me a lot. At some point I stopped, but I need to get back to it. I also used a headspace sleep meditation often. Now that you mentioned the pooch palace sleep story, I searched for it everywhere but did not find it. Where can I get it?
