All I'm saying is it would be good if there was a choice to it as a customer holding a cr/dedit card
Because of this there are actually tonnes of papers studying its effects:

The fines broke big long after BP's fine. BNP Paribas was fined a staggering $9bn just last year. The fine was selected as the limit of 10% of the annual revenue in the previous year.
I don't advocate for the use of coal in generating power but this is what seems to be going on.
The largest (MW/GW wise) expansion projects in terms of power generation are all coal projects as far as I'm aware on the entire African continent.
Typically each unit/turbine generates close to 1 GW. It's hard to find something with the equivalent cost (including the use of a small amount of space) with renewable energy.
Even the best geothermal well in Kenya, on the rift valley geothermal reservoir, only gives out near 5 MW.
The renewable scaling issue is something that needs to be faced. Costa Rica truly has achieved a milestone much larger than it sounds.
It is possible I'm not saying its not. The three gorges dam hydroelectric plant is able to produce near 22 GW, also the largest power plant in the world (including non renewable energy)
The current third party packages with SQL support are very experimental and don't support nearly as much as the native mongo driver.
I assume when Meteor does this or if Arunoda does it would be pretty awesome. Especially with PostgreSQL since it supports native live queries.
Alternatively you can use AWS with Elastic Beanstalk to quickly bring up a node app.
I had a couple of questions as we need something like this.
Could you outline the differences due to the legal framework? Do you allow tokens/can customers save cards?, what about 3Dsecure? Can we use POST like api calls or do we use a very customisable iframe? Can you guys do pre-authorisations (such as when capture is false on the stripe api when you create a charge)?
For the company to say they're playing this at the moment in office it is a bit misleading.
I hope the real thing will be just as cool if not cooler.
Either way if a formula change, distributing earnings based on an individual user instead of the whole pool, means the popular songs would earn far less.
It also means if someone listens to one song that would earn more than someone who loves music and pays the same thing!
I would argue the formula isn't wrong its difficult comparing an total Audio CD sales vs a lifetime NPV of music played on Spotify for an author.
Nonetheless, you can keep it easy and get loads of people on board first before making it tougher.
I might point out on Paypal you get an email every time a charge is done and you can easily cancel any subscription in under a minute quite easily so you wont forget about anything.
Direct Debit (such as that offered by HDFC, Axis, etc) can also do the same thing, although it is more difficult to cancel than a credit card would be & less services are available to it.
Also consider if you pay cash/neft/rtgs/paytm for 12 months upfront instead of every 1 month recurring for a subscription service. Its going to be harder to get that back (and perhaps not possible) if you decide to cancel halfway than it would be with a credit card/paypal.
I would argue any place can have cheats. That's why you can reverse and dispute card transactions if they are fraudulent.
No they aren't. If you look at the changes to the Technical Comittee. The proposal is to add 3 members to it. I can't help but think there are way more people at Joyent. The TC seems to have alot of power on the direction of the project.
It doesn't seem reasonable to effectively stage a coup on node and ask Joyent to give up control over it.
Or would it be better to mature the cheese in their own more expensive facility which doesn't get the same economies of scale?
I guess there's more of a distinction since the types of collateral the other institutions take are more specialized.
The other distinction is i'm guessing these specialized institutions are going to use your credit rating against you when you don't pay up.
I don't think they sell hocked these items on their desks either.
There are also 'Gold loans' in India where you can give up your jewellery for a loan. What's interesting is that there are specialised banks that do this rather than an ordinary bank taking it up as collateral.
I guess other items that could work this way more interestingly than gold are whisky & wines.
If you look at the countries that have the pledge its none of the earlier adopters (Nato or former Soviet states). This is important because it signifies that the pledge is more of a political statement to provide comfort to existing nuclear states at the time the pledge was made. India similarly changed its pledge to only apply against nuclear states more recently.
When it comes to Ukraine there's so much doubtfulness in the accuracy of everything because both sides are so contradictory. I don't think it is that simple to just trust one side's story
I assume one favours lifting people out of poverty through opportunity of economic opportunity (subsidising R&D at the expense of other industry). The other is to lift people out of people through welfare (subsidising sanitation through the expense of other industry).
The latter would definitely help in the more immediate term but wouldn't be sustainable. It's a hard pill to swallow but prioritising a better economic climate may be better in the longer term.
There is also another way to look at it where the improvement in sanitation can improve living standards, thereby improving the economy through a different root of the problem. I think the government is taking an approach that uses less welfare.
I would favour the space plan since the ISRO currently has a very high launch success rate and an incomparable cost. For India and the world as a whole it is more optimal to promote its development. The material/'hard cash' export value of launching satellites can help more in the longer term to subsidising sanitation than approaching it directly and sooner.
