What does canard mean in this context?

Agreed, no way they wouldn't notice 8tb worth of outgoing network activity
> Imagine you are the CEO, and you are struggling with vocal and distracting luddite engineers. How would you handle the situation?

I would focus on upskilling, get engineers more comfortable with AI, and find a middle ground - move fast but don't compromise on security.

> Kudos to him for being candid and direct, knowing that the chat would get leaked. Honestly I wish more leadership would just keep it real.

I don't think he knew the chat would be leaked, and there is a difference between being candid and being a dick

Open hostility is the hallmark of a bad leader

Imagine you had the power to snap your fingers and change things. What would the world look like?
Is this a serious take? Citations from DOGE and American perception?
That doesn't explain how Silicon valley powered, owned by the city of Santa Clara, can provide electricity at 18c/kwh while the next city over PG&E charges 48c/kwh

Has Santa Clara diversified their energy and Sunnyvale did not?

In the same sense there could be infinite CRUD apps?
Your post makes sense, but most software was moving to the cloud even before AI. Why sell someone a copy of ms office when you can get them to subscribe to O365?

I think the self hosting moment will gather steam and maybe prove itself superior for certain cases

Return or donate? Won't OpenAI profit from returns?
Yes and no. I suspect many of the hard limits were set arbitrarily, and we'll see a relaxation of limits as people get frustrated with the limited use they get out of them. And some services will genuinely need to be re written to support higher rps or risk losing customers

Sucks for the hoarder, but that is indeed how bug bounties are supposed to work. The first reporter gets the payout, disincentivizing sitting on valid vulns.

The new golden rule is just don't upgrade. I didn't upgrade to Tahoe, and I won't upgrade to Golden Gate

As a hiring manager, I would love to hire only citizens, but only the underqualified apply. I guess the qualified citizens all just go the Frontier labs. We don't have the time to train folks, we need them to hit the ground running. Real conundrum tbh

Isn't it the same as my password manager's vault? I only remember my master password so if that vault is lost I can't even log in to my email

That's because most people at Google use iPhones as their primary phones, they hardly know or care about the UX
