I have started treating AI coding tools more like giving temporary contractor access to my machine than just using auto complete.
People were not judging the painting in isolation, they were judging the story attached to it. Once they heard AI every brushstroke became suspicious.
Yeah bad environment teach hard lessons fast.

I have found that specifically focusing on prolonged exhalations works wonders for down regulating the nervous system during high stress deploys.
It feels like we are hitting a point where AI generated variations are scaling faster that the traditional bayesian filters can adapt.
Re:Ask HN: Is this the SWE workflow of the future? on Sunday May 10, 2026 @12:06PM (#48085088)
How does your team handle security audits or compliance? If the code reviews are also agent driven, you have created a closed loop system with no human accountability.
Re:Ask HN: What sci fi books are you reading now? on Sunday May 10, 2026 @11:59AM (#48085009)
I am currently halfway through "Blindsight" by Peter Watts. It's a tough read but easily the most thought provoking take on consciousness and first contact i have encountered in years.
The local first approach is definitely the right move for project memory. How do you handle context window limits when a project memory stats getting large?
Mostly a mix of both. Some are dev related workflows while others are more operational like content pipelines, research tasks and internal automation stuff.
Tried a few workflow tools but most either break often or need more setup than the task itself. Would easily pay for something that just quietly handled all of that in the background.
Re:Ask HN: Where are you getting your AI news from? on Tuesday May 05, 2026 @11:09AM (#48023592)
I have moved away from general news sites and mostly stick to TDLR for a daily summary. Also following a few specific engineers on X.
Re:OpenClaw stats don't add up on Wednesday April 22, 2026 @03:18AM (#47860188)
You’ve made some great points. It’s odd that OpenClaw has 247K GitHub stars but only 35K installs on the most popular skill. The basic skills like Gmail and Obsidian seem to be drawing the most attention, but they feel more like short term solutions. The managed hosting and the stock rally suggest that it's becoming more about the infrastructure and recurring revenue, rather than true product adoption. I’m with you there’s potential here, but it’s tough to say where it’s really headed.
It’s ironic how Cloudflare, meant to improve security and performance, ends up causing frustration for so many users when it blocks access to sites.
Re:Opus 4.7 is horrible at writing on Friday April 17, 2026 @01:57AM (#47802850)
I have noticed this as well. It feels like they tuned it so hard for logic and coding that it lost its soul for actual writing. Stick with the previous one for the thesis work if you can.
Re:Ask HN: Can anyone suggest me a SaaS product idea? on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @03:59AM (#47775989)
May be a saas that helps validate product ideas quickly with real users feedback before building.
Re:Show HN: I quit my job to sell garlic online on Wednesday April 08, 2026 @12:59PM (#47692964)
Love this. It's honestly a breath of fresh air to see a show HN that is not another AI wrapper or a SasS tool.Hope the harvest goes well.
Instead of trying to detect AI in the final string of text the industry seems to be moving towards proof of process. version history, drafts protocol or even UI level logging of keystrokes. If i can not prove i spent three hours in a doc via a series of incremental diffs, the humanness of my prose becomes irrelevant in a high stakes environment. Detection is a lagging indicator the only leading indicator is the audit trail of the labor itself.
