Re:Open‑source VANTRUE dashcam stitcher (front and cabin PiP) on Saturday January 10, 2026 @05:42PM (#46570672)
I vibed together a small script to stitch VANTRUE front + cabin clips into a single picture‑in‑picture video.

It groups sessions, supports date/week/month filtering, and uses FFmpeg. There’s also a cleanup helper for moving/ deleting processed originals.

Repo: https://github.com/SteveClement/vantrue-dashcam-stitcher.git

Happy to take feedback or feature requests (rear camera _C.MP4 support planned).

Moritz Ubele is a young upcoming filmmaker who just graduated from my uni. His latest film, Slice of Death, was featured in the RE:arrange exhibition (vimeo.com/20190998) and I sat down with him to talk about his work, the difference between analogue and digital filming and the crazy machine he built with his friends to transfer analogue film to a computer.

You shouldn't play with food but this is a great gift for a 6 year old and really shows how far you can go in DIY.
