Don't make me laugh. "Alt-right" is a stupid, nonsensical term made up by news corporations to serve as a convenient boogeyman, and the meme itself isn't sexist in the slightest. Elevated estrogen levels in men ARE detrimental for numerous reasons. This has nothing to do with women, period.
Soy is associated with elevated estrogen levels because of phytoestrogens. Whether or not they actually affect the human endocrine system isn't clear, but you can't deny the customers of Soylent products all share... similar traits.
- A lack of masculine and mature traits (Excessively self-conscious, weak-willed, a canvas for [Current trends], potentially narcissistic)
- Beard-and-glasses aesthetic (Also previously known as the "Hipster" style)
- Terminally online and outspoken. Slacktivists
- Usually (but not always) "Leftists" with pronouns in their bio, LGBT+, BLM, Etc.
- Usually (but not always) white, male, and lives in urban areas (Portland, New York, SF, Etc.)
- Tries to come off as more intelligent than they usually are. Lacks perspective of the world at large.
And there is no shortage of these kinds of people on social media and in large technology-oriented organizations and corporations.
I think you should be more worried about OpenAI themselves instead of "Hackers".
How Sonic 3D's 27MB intro was fit on a 4MB cartrige
Except you could've, and still can. People need to learn how to adapt. There's no reason a Discord server is necessary for distributing and discussing anticheat software. Thousands of much larger, more important projects are doing just fine without Discord™ servers, and part of it is the people with influence putting their feet down at the mention of Discord, a glorified spyware platform populated with the socially deprived. Discord is rarely ever a key piece of infrastructure necessary for advertising and documentation for the majority of projects that have one attached to themselves.
Give me a break.
The headline aside, people are absolutely going to grow closer to technology as it becomes more generally useful, its simply a matter of efficiency. Lots of people already live their lives being guided around by the invisible algorithms powering search engines and social media websites. The levels at which sites like Youtube and Twitter control peoples perception is insane. We're lucky that the people running them are too incompetent to make use of their personalized curation functions fully.
Its okay everybody, the CEO came out and said its *not* actually advertising but just simply an unsolicited, intrusive pop-up that tries to get users to use more of their services so its all good!
EDIT: I just realized the author made an account to clarify in this thread that its a toy application.
Trust me, you aren't missing out on anything by not being able to post on r/WhitePeopleTwitter, r/Chonkers, or r/FunkoPops
>Everyone in that video is more covered up than any woman at the beach, and if innuendo that kids won't understand is unacceptable to you, then basicly every animated kids' movie from the past twenty years would disagree.
The human body isn't inherently sexual, as evidenced by ancient humans and various current societies, so its not a matter of coverage but rather a matter of context and purpose (of the particular types of clothing used in that video). You are either extraordinarily ignorant, malicious, or both if you don't think that men dressed up as sexual versions of women along with sexual innuendo "It's not gonna lick itself" on the wall in a bar/nightclub is a bad place for children to be.
>Please go read these statistics...
>Here's another study for you to read...
There are so many problems with simply linking individual (confirmation-bias-fueled cherry-picked) studies that I'm not even going to bother touching this.
The big "seeing the forest rather than the trees" idea that needs to be known is that mental illness is rampant in trans people and communities (aside from the transgenderism itself) and suicide rates are extremely high. "Neo-vaginas" do not have the same faculties as a normal vagina to maintain their cleanliness and will attempt to heal themselves over time unless dilated (As they are nothing more than glorified puncture wounds). Those that manage to de-transition rather than committing suicide are overwhelmingly regretful and suffer from numerous health-related issues.
>I've seen some accusations like this. Every time, the drag show has turned out to be completely G-rated, and they're offended at the lie that they would expose children to sexual acts. In many cases, it was the act of drag itself that was the supposed "sexual element".
>turned out to be completely G-rated
Like this one with "It's not gonna lick itself" and men in fishnets running around? https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/dallas-family-friend...
>Genital surgery for transgender people has one of the highest satisfaction rates of any surgery of any type.
This so laughably bad and false that you should feel ashamed for having said it. Please go read https://www.reddit.com/r/detrans/top/?t=all
An Appendectomy is what I'd expect to fall under "surgery with one of the highest satisfaction rates", not a festering "neo-vagina" that requires lifelong dilation and will never function similarly to a real vagina while the rest of the (now malfunctioning) male sexual system is still present.
>We do not "validate" people with schizophrenia like that because it does not improve their happiness or well-being.
And its the exact same case with trans people. The suicide statistics, r/detrans testimonies, and general trans lifestyle problems are not testaments to "We do affirm transgender people in their identity because it does improve their happiness and well-being". Its obvious that "validating" them is only a minimal, temporary solution, if even that.
Its not. You can go look at the 430k+ user subreddit "AreTheStraightsOK" as evidence that its "fine" when they [trans people] demonize other groups of people but absolutely horrible and vile when people criticize them.
There's a perfect example of this, actually. Usually when one of these kinds of subreddits pops up a complimentary, opposite one is created to poke fun at the original and the people using it, which in this case would be "AreTheTransOk". Want to take a guess as to what happened to that? Take a look for yourself: https://old.reddit.com/r/arethetransok/ (and this https://old.reddit.com/r/arethelgbtok/)
You can ignore this though. "telling trans people they’re evil and messed up." is fine on its own because it falls under free speech, which of course includes speech that neither I nor you like, and is correct as nothing I said in my post is incorrect. John Money was evil. He was a pedophile that experimented on children that eventually committed suicide as adults. Bringing children to drag shows with "Its Not Gonna Lick Itself" on the wall is evil. Men playing dress-up and competing in women's sports is extremely unfair and cruel to the women that spent years training to reach a professional level of athleticism. There are numerous accounts from post-trans people themselves in https://old.reddit.com/r/detrans/ that very deeply regret the surgical procedures they received, and consistently speak of lifelong medical problems as a result.
Are the trans ok? NO.
>This is a funny complaint, since vast swaths of America have this exact sentiment towards trans people.
Wrong. The vast sentiments that exist are that people want to be left alone, and don't want annoying people skulking around and screeching at everything.
Hardly.
And I wonder why exactly this is the case...
Something something "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
With all of the insanity stemming from trans people and loudmouths in the LGBT community both online and in real life, I don't blame people for losing their empathy and respect for them. If you're legitimately clueless as to what I'm referring to, look into child drag shows, censorship, the invasions of women-only (XX chromosome) spaces, legitimate cases of grooming occurring on platforms like Discord, and their generally insufferable attitudes towards people that don't perfectly align with their beliefs.
We don't "validate" people suffering from schizophrenia by telling them that their trees are indeed talking to them about the little green aliens in their attic, so why "validate" other mental illnesses in similar ways?...
There's a relevant Reddit quote that I don't have access to at the moment, but it goes something like this:
"I'm an expert on X topic. I've seen people talking about my subject of expertise with extreme inaccuracy many times before and its irritating... Immediately afterwards I'll move into another thread and will forget everything I just witnessed and will take reasonably convincing posts as factual (Even though they're of the exact same nature as the post that was entirely wrong but was reasonable and convincing enough that it got hundreds of upvotes)."
You just contradicted the rest of your post.
