Re:Most popular browser missing (Chrome)... on Thursday May 24, 2012 @05:02PM (#4020543)
Well they have funding from Microsoft, and Google is now their leading competitor...not like it's unexpected. They probably thought it was funny.
Re:Burnout is caused by resentment on Wednesday March 28, 2012 @10:52PM (#3769426)
Is it just me, or is insulting + judging + stereotyping someone the epitome of being narrow-minded?
Re:Fukime - The Mobile Cloud Platform on Friday August 05, 2011 @04:25AM (#2849387)
Would love to be in the room when this gets pitched to investors.
Re:Angry Birds Maker Sued for Patent Violation on Monday July 25, 2011 @04:02PM (#2804351)
This patent crap is getting ridiculous. We should create a script to auto-generate Patent Violation Notices in masse to be sent to patent trolls. Business should be about creating value, not leeching and hurting others to steal their value and make it your own.
Re:Hack us, and we'll bomb you on Tuesday May 17, 2011 @06:06PM (#2558128)
So to instigate a war all you'd have to do is be part of a group like Anonymous, throw out some subtle misinformation that made it seem you were acting on behalf of a government entity, then wallah, war.
Re:Sequoia-Backed Chinese E-Commerce Company's Black-Hat SEO on Saturday April 30, 2011 @12:07AM (#2499857)
This post makes it sound like it never happens, but I know that a competitor of my company that is VC funded has played around with doing exactly the same thing -- buying links. I'm not sure that VCs even know how to do due diligence on such a thing.
Any chance this is just an April Fool's joke with a whole lot of time put into it? :P
So, I wonder how long until someone is going to use this to create a real-time location based hot or not?:P
Re:The Legend of Zelda Turns 25 on Monday February 21, 2011 @05:47PM (#2247634)
Sweet! I'd love for them to make some new retro versions of the nes or super nes versions. We've got a hidden tribute on our website @ Gamify that surprisingly no one has ever caught.
Re:Poll: Which web browser do you use? on Friday January 14, 2011 @08:12PM (#2106121)

Re:Duke Nukem Forever finally available for pre-order on Amazon on Tuesday December 28, 2010 @07:27PM (#2047460)
Watch, they'll cancel orders last minute and say thanks for helping fund the sequel, "Duke Nukem Never".
Re:Ask HN: 2011 Predictions on Saturday December 04, 2010 @05:00PM (#1970257)
Gamification is going to take off.

Everything in your life will be quantified and if you want recorded.

You can see actual stats and progress in your life.

A lot of boring things including our jobs will become more fun and merit based rewards at work will accelerate in growth around the world.

We talk a lot about this on our wiki at http://gamification.org .

Re:Is 'gamification' the future? on Saturday November 27, 2010 @04:10PM (#1945882)
Agreed, Gamification as it's being executed now is pretty shallow but I believe that is going to change. We setup a small wiki for that very reason @ http://gamification.org to discuss the topic and open it up to collaboration and collective brainstorming.
Awesome:)
