Re:OpenAI expands ChatGPT ads with Sponsored Agents on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @08:24PM (#49734898)
If the free tier offers upgraded limits or smarter models funded by ads, I do not see the harm. Even for the paid tier, price elasticity experiments can be subdued in lieu of ad-supported tiers instead. This is all inevitable, just matter of when and how and what it takes.

Re:ChatGPT's hidden bias about your state or city on Saturday February 21, 2026 @05:30PM (#47105536)
These biases are not intentionally programmed; they are absorbed from the vast online datasets used for training. Because ChatGPT serves more than 900 million users each week, these inherited prejudices can subtly shape global perceptions.

any plans for firefox?
Why specific to LFP chemistry? Is your usage always going to be charging for full?
I see it compares between ads/sponsored vs kagi showcasing just webpages. If I use ublock and block elements, does Kagi has advantage over it? In other words, are the search results superior barring QOL improvement could Kagi possibly bring.
Walmart app does a similar dark pattern IMHO. It would pop up asking for Walmart+ as soon as it launches. I have been a victim of accidentl trial sign-up with Walmart+

The opt in button would be at the bottom where exactly "account" sits.

I am always amazed by Finance. But the engineer in me somehow always failed to grapple after few trenches deep into the realm of terminologies. I am strongly considering the MITx Finance specialization, but this resource is a great stop gap.
Higher ups in Toyota used to have this. Where if you join Toyota even as GM/VP, you would assemble the cars for a week as part of your induction into culture.

Re:$7M lost on Amazon inventory, then bankrupt on Saturday December 03, 2022 @09:01PM (#33849770)
Most a-li-express products are getting delivered within two to three weeks these days. They have become very efficient in logistics.

Also if you continue supporting Chinese sellers on Amazon, this would still encourage these behaviors.

Re:How GPU Computing Works [video] on Tuesday July 12, 2022 @04:58PM (#32075590)
There is an entire field of parallel algorithms which makes use of sequential algorithms to overcome some of these issues. So no it's not wasted. You would apply the knowledge to build parallel algorithms.

There are projects in my school where we implemented a combination of CUDA and openMP in some and MPI+OpenMP in a few. I think the bottleneck is always gonna be there, its just how much and how you deal with it in hardware from the software front.

How is the different from mental models? They have a lot of overlap
Straight up Google results are too manipulated by machine generated blogs for SEO. Google "best x" you would end up in a blog post made of Amazon affiliate links. Same goes for product reviews, it's impossible to find blogs that cover reviews on everyday products barring a few. Reddit has become a gold mine for some when it comes to product reviews and research. "Give a man a mask, he will tell you the truth" - with quora your identity being associated some hesitate on stark opinions but with reddit, you can do whatever you want to say and the community takes care of it with upvotes and karma.

Recently there has been an influx of paid reviews and opinions everywhere, yt comments, Amazon reviews and even reddit comments. So take everything with a truckload of salt but given the limited content I have to source, reddit is as good as it gets. Someone should build yt comments extractor and search on top of that.

Re:I went back to using a ThinkPad from 2012 on Monday January 10, 2022 @12:06PM (#29877891)
The tip on purchasing business grade laptops applicable to several companies as well. I have the P series and it's going strong for 5 years after all the abuse of grad school and internships and now another degree. Apart from the wear on the rubber coating on the lid, the plastic is still robust. If you want upgradability from Lenovo, I think P series tick most boxes. The form factor is different here.
So my perfectly fine Thinkpad P51 can't run a win11 because of processor requirements? Are they selling CPU chips or Windows 11 to the market??
More movie recommendations please

For fully autonomous driving need to happen, all cars must exchange data with each other how robots do in a factory floor. Image and depth perception can solve some problems but a crash or a vehicle can maneuver in any direction. If two self driving cars need to take a decision at a intersection, how are they gonna do it?

Ridiculous the Gamestop saga alone 2B and change. Should be more!
I wish auto manufacturers focused on extending EV range then FSD. the buzz so much but nobody is bothered about bringing extended range to masses. People who want entry level ev can't sit for 40 minutes every week at a supercharger.
Re:Amazon Academy India on Wednesday November 04, 2020 @11:30AM (#24990471)
Human capital. Many SAT schools often have 1x1 training but with JEE India, all you need is right course content and prep materials and often students pickup from it. Often in India, JEE is one of the most respected entry path and students who take it are extremely motivated to the likes of silio ing their life for nothing but exam prep, for years.
Re:Amazon Academy India on Wednesday November 04, 2020 @11:26AM (#24990428)
Amazon entering into education prep business? India's JEE seems just right for this.
