My theory is the rise of Hindunationationalism, and nationalism in general in India, which leads to the feeling of needing to defend ones country against any perceived attacks. Combine this with a huge country and rising levels of English proficency and you will get that type of comments on English speaking online boards.

Yep, and I find it so very American to leave that tid bit out of their complaint and then it getting upvoted because muh evil EU? when its really the US goverment screwing their abroad citizens in this case.
Re:The decentralized web and the future of Section 230 on Friday November 18, 2022 @06:22PM (#33664320)
No, you don't need a single authentication provider, you can use more or less what you want/need and there is nothing for it mandatory in the protocol.

What currently is kinda centralized is an identity matching service, but even that is completly optional and will bec replaced by something more federated at some point.

Re:It’s Time to Repeal the Jones Act on Wednesday October 19, 2022 @12:48PM (#33264782)
Because if they 'import' things like food or an amazon package from the mainland they can only use Jones Act vessels which drives the costs up crazy.
Re:Why doesn't Stripe use Stripe Billing? on Thursday October 13, 2022 @12:58PM (#33193657)
I mean, it also creates a circular dependency, if you have an issue with your own product and trying to fix it then you can suddenly not communicate.

Re:Is Grammarly a keylogger? What can you do about it? on Friday February 25, 2022 @03:04PM (#30471715)
DQ = Disqualification, a no go.
But there are already many laws in many countries that distinguish. For example airlines where for example to count as a EU Airline more than 50% must be owned by EU citizens.
Re:XMPP, a comeback story on Wednesday November 17, 2021 @02:12PM (#29257495)
The whole issue with XMPP is that yes, in theory you could do e2ee accross multiple servers and devices but only if all the servers support the right extensions and the clients support them properly.

Re:Microsoft in talks to buy Discord for more than $10B on Tuesday March 23, 2021 @03:34AM (#26552108)
Mumble has a terrible user experience, especially for non technical users. It also covers a really small subset of discord features, the Voice Chat.

Don't missundertand me, on a technical level Mumble is impressive and can do voice channels with thousands of participants, but on the clientside its just a mess.

Just a nit pick, its not at the supreme court, its at the highest court (Oberster Gerichtshof), the court below the supreme court, the Verfassungsgerichtshof.

Its confusing, I know.

Re:Piracy, Overcoming Gravity, and the Digital Edition on Sunday March 14, 2021 @07:49AM (#26454571)
A drop of sales is so common, and espeically a more sharper after the core customer base has bought the book.

So yes, the OP is probably a novice to the whole book selling buisness.

The issue is really that the entire feed went buggy from all the comments, even the inbuilt too, which they are probably using called AutoModerator has delays of over 10 minutes and more instead of being instant.
Re:AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS Cezanne Review: Ryzen 5000 Mobile Tested on Wednesday January 27, 2021 @10:59AM (#25929827)
Yes the l3 chache was doubled, on mobile it was only 8 MB total (split 4+4) now it is 16 MB shared by all cores.

Re:AMD PSB Vendor Locks EPYC CPUs for Enhanced Security at a Cost on Wednesday September 09, 2020 @03:17AM (#24418219)
The keys for trusted compute, memory encryption and such are saved inside the CPU, so if you change the CPU you also loose all those keys.
Re:Apple (Pro) Mouse (2014) on Saturday September 05, 2020 @11:29AM (#24384272)

Re:Intel Launches 11th Gen Core Tiger Lake on Wednesday September 02, 2020 @03:54PM (#24357284)
Its probably only the PHY for it and require additional (expensive) components to implement, just like with the "integrated" 2.5 Ghz.
Re:Intel’s 11th Gen Core Tiger Lake SoC Detailed on Thursday August 13, 2020 @10:44AM (#24143838)

Re:FreeRDP 2.0 – A Remote Desktop Protocol implementation on Saturday April 11, 2020 @05:20AM (#22840628)
Mostly RDP, many things (still) require a GUI, and Windows Server Core is something relativly new and has some issues because not everything is exposed to shell.
Idk, I set up one last week and no matter the tunning I did it didn't work at all, like screen tearing and extermly low frame rates.
For how many users?
A good deal is probably for future proofing and for auxillary applications that run parrallel to games like voice and social stuff.
