Are you suggesting that the only reason to legalize something is to get a legal stamp on it being moral? The main reason is to stop discrimination.

Many of the features of new languages are their restrictions. How would you restrict C in a new version to e.g. remove null pointers in favor of optional types?

Sorry for not doing my research but, aren't there 4-byte regular characters from other languages? Is it all emojis and symbols?
