Grab the popcorn, the Vercel v Cloudflare drama unfolds
Re:React: Why We Built an Elite Incident Response Team on Thursday October 09, 2025 @12:57PM (#45530277)
"In Q2’25 alone, Cloudflare stopped an average of 190 billion cyber threats every single day."

Are they counting a single packet a threat? Would like to get the methodology to calculate what's a threat. It seems too large

Thanks!
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @08:30AM (#45462199)
I added a Load sample button so you can test it easily
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @06:52AM (#45461401)
Happy you like it!
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @04:43AM (#45460570)
Much appreciated!
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @04:24AM (#45460436)
You can now use your windows tracert outputs directly!
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @04:23AM (#45460428)
Added :)
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @04:23AM (#45460425)
Done! Feel free to use tracert outputs now!
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @04:09AM (#45460328)
Would you mind sharing the link (after removing the data you don't want to share)? I'm using IPInfo's data and each hop IP is the end of a segment so it's normal it doesn't follow your expected topology (to which we can add the limitations of traceroute)
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @03:27AM (#45460075)
Thanks for the feedback! It's true that the first's job is to visualize - we can read the details after
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @03:05AM (#45459924)
The aim was to scratch an itch which was to try to visually see what is going on with my packets when going to a given website. Of course it's not perfectly reliable (due to geoip loc or hops not answering / using link IPs) nor does it claim to be.
Re:Show HN: Traceroute Visualizer on Friday October 03, 2025 @03:02AM (#45459900)
I didn't add support for tracert. Will do that and report back!
Privacy Badger has been around for YEARS and doesn't cover a lot of cases. Use uBlock Origin instead.
Re:Show HN: SharkMCP, a Tshark MCP Server on Saturday June 14, 2025 @12:34PM (#44277311)
Absolutely!

It's really a tshark wrapper to make it available for LLMs so any capture filter will work. The display filter also accepts any Wireshark accepted filter.

You can also "just" use it to analyse a pcap if you don't need to record traffic as well as pass an SSLKEYLOG file for the decryption.

Show HN: SharkMCP, a Tshark MCP Server

https://github.com/kriztalz/SharkMCP

I created a tshark MCP server! This is useful for an agent to debug packet issues.Async: your agent can run a curl command and get the packets for it Flexible: You choose the capture and display filters Configs: Reusable configs to not go through the hassle of creating filters again or trusting the LLM to know what you needLet me know what you think!

Show HN: SupaSniffer – Test Supabase RLS

https://github.com/kriztalz/supa-sniffer

Many startups use Supabase as a backend. I made this tool to enable to check anonymous access to tables using the anon key.Just input your supabase entry point and your anon key to get an overview.Fun fact, Supabase publishes the swagger of your db for anyone to see! (which is what makes this tool possible)Excerpt of a sample output:--- Table/View Test Summary --- [!] Potential RLS Leaks Found...

Yes, the free trier is pretty generous and the paid (5$) is more than enough for the vast majority of people.
Finally! It was a pain to have to manage the SSG in a Pages instance and the backend in a separate worker. Working with LLMs made it a pain as well. Should be better now!
Re:Show HN: Cloud IP Ranges on Friday March 28, 2025 @12:07PM (#43507100)
Where are those list coming from? BGP data? ASN data? From feeds published by the orgs?

Seems there are some discrepancies. Nice website on Ruby <3

Re:Why is PostHog so in vogue? on Thursday March 27, 2025 @05:27AM (#43491733)
They have some doc about it: https://posthog.com/docs/migrate/mixpanel
Re:Why is PostHog so in vogue? on Wednesday March 26, 2025 @01:37PM (#43484656)
Have you considered moving over to PostHog given this disparity in features or for your usecase Mixpanel is suitable (especially now with the price reduction)
