Re:Does Anybody Actually Like React? on Monday May 25, 2026 @10:15PM (#48274192)
I used React back when it came out once or twice and knew, nah thats not it. It may be good for apps like Facebook. But on the other side, Facebook was slow and buggy af.
I switched to Kagi years ago, never looked back.
oh is this stupid hype of defining design in html with a random framework finally over? thank god!
I always liked the Idea of HTML as a document format. And i never understood why people prefered .docx or .txt. And where are the whysiwyg editors like dreamweaver? Really loved this stuff back in the day.

Why is every developer trying to make things complicated?

Re:Harper – an open-source alternative to Grammarly on Saturday June 21, 2025 @05:38AM (#44336086)
why did you use chatgpt for this text then?
not good.
I think it’s time for a truly open Digital Audio Workstation one that’s actually usable, well-designed, functional, and free from logins, cloud dependencies, or mandatory subscriptions. Something you can simply download or access from any platform that supports a browser.

That’s why I really like the idea of building a DAW in the browser, it has huge potential for all kinds of users, especially in education, whether for kids, older people, or just anyone who wants to make music on the go, no matter what device they’re using.

I see a lot of promise in this project and fully support André, who has already contributed to developing great audio tools.

the developer of audiotool literally is the creator of openDAW

Re:Fucking Color Picker on Saturday April 13, 2019 @09:46AM (#19652979)
yes and it works everywhere, everytime.
Re:Fucking Color Picker on Saturday April 13, 2019 @09:20AM (#19652851)
What´s the problem with this? I have enough space on my drive. Sure the app is bigger but it´s platform independent and works flawlessly. Native apps crash often, use big os dependent frameworks (you have to install sometimes) and only to have a smaller bundle? I don't get it.

Re:Did Finland’s basic income experiment work? [video] on Sunday February 03, 2019 @10:43AM (#19070158)
not enough money, not enough people and too short (you know its ending somewhere soon, so you´re not really free. and the participents still seeking for jobs, because the experiment is ending.). so this test is basically just donating a bit of money to random people, not a basic income experiment (for me at least).
Re:Netflix to raise prices by 13% to 18% on Tuesday January 15, 2019 @10:21AM (#18911724)
Does someone feel that most netflix (and hollywood) movies are pretty "empty"? It´s like watching something while watching nothing.
