I don't think so but they waste tons of people's time every day in the world... they should just default to: no, I don't want cookies that aren't required for this site's basic functionalities to work as intended.

that's just fair... Google bothered Google Search users with Chrome popups for years... not sure if they stopped or if my ad blocker started to block them.
Re:Car is spying on you, leading to higher insurance rates

I didn't give up on privacy, but it is getting increasingly harder to achieve. BTW do you know that your car broadcast unique IDs from each of your car wheels (TPMS), and that it is pretty hard to avoid facial recognition. or that they are installing car tag readers everywhere.
You are ignoring so much of the spying that is going on.
What about your phone? is it connected to cellphone towers? Is WiFi enabled... what about Bluetooth?

web bloat of this proportion is far from new... the most common is probably huge images... i.e.: a 10000x10000 pixel image displayed at 320x320

right across the border in Mexico there's a pharmacy literally at every corner near San Diego, and no prescriptions are needed, you are correct.... The one at stopped at the lady let me know that she was watching the show Breaking Bad on the TV behind me... she was old and asked the other lady to get out of the store before we started doing business... she would not sell me Fentanyl though. She would only sell oxys, percs, and other stuff. I didn't buy anything though.
