Really? This is all second nature, stuff you should already be doing. Replace "bug" with defect and it can apply to anything.

If you find computer work is stressing you out, maybe find a better job that suits your interests?

I usually skip articles like this. It's like saying biology is immaculate, fetid and grimy.

No, but some of the people are. Happens in all fields.

Science is usually reduced to a list of facts. Emotions usually are not related, but if it helps you, go for it.

I half-expect these types of articles to give this tidbit of advice: talk nicely to the computer. It's your friend.

Re:Show HN: HTML5 version of StarCraft on Monday September 07, 2015 @01:25PM (#10182215)
I make games all the time for myself, sometimes using copyright protected images. But I can't share the source code or publish the game in Google Play if I do that.

If I want to share or publish, I have to use free stuff or make it myself. If I want to use copyright material and publish it, I need permission and a contract with the owner of the IP, a license or agreement of some sort to use their stuff.

All this applies to everyone, not just the US, if you want to do business. If it's just for fun that's fine but you can't distribute it in anyway, including github.

I worked at Software, Etc. when these games were released. I was in high school, and I got my first promotion to Assistant Manager.

I enjoyed all the adventure games during that time, but then Civilization was released, and I was hooked! Adventure games seemed flat compared to the endless possibilities in Civilization.

It's a blanket statement that obviously applies to some, but not all.

In my mind, that makes this a click-bait article.

I'm not a fan of the Trebuchet- style lowercase 'i' with the unnecessary curved hook on the bottom. Or the design of zero.

I'll stick with Consolas.

Re:Ask HN: Why are certain posts to HN getting 'Dead“-ed? on Saturday August 29, 2015 @07:27PM (#10141716)
Those examples are top level domains.

Usually people post specific articles vs. top level domains. Perhaps you can find specific examples?

Re:Ask HN: Is Medium legally an online blog? on Saturday August 29, 2015 @02:00PM (#10140816)
Medium publishes blogs. They are the publisher.

Not the users.
