I thought this was going to be about a boat motor.
I imagine passengers will be exposed to very high noise levels during flight.
Makes sense and this is how we do it in Australia.
Maybe where things are different where you live.
Sounds like something worth reporting as it is an offence in Australia at least. The police would certainly investigate such an allegation and charges could be laid if there was sufficient evidence and a conviction was possible.
Re:The Joy of Numbered Streets on Friday April 03, 2026 @03:18AM (#47624043)
We don't do this numbered street thing very much in Australia and manage to get around ok.
That's the deception plan.

The mix of imperial and metric units in this article was confusing.

Re:Allow me to introduce, the Citroen C15 on Saturday January 10, 2026 @09:36AM (#46566046)
I have the Ford Ranger with the 2 litre biturbo diesel engine in Australia. It is so good it's hard to conceive that a better vehicle could be possible.
There are 5 road bridges and 1 railway bridge in the vicinity of Narva.
This is good news. Punish the wrongdoers so we can live in a peaceful safe society.

If you don't die of heart disease you will die from something else.

An excellent resource.
RAID is great but without monitoring and alerting you can still have a problem. Better still is the automatic creation of incident records and escalation.
It's perfectly legal for under 18 year old Queenslanders to consume alcohol.

Anything FreeBSD related gets my attention. My most favoured operating system.
Completely appropriate.
After the ban on plastic shopping bags in Australia I bought a box of 3000 of them online for rubbish bin liners. I use 2 or 3 a week.
In Australia we never had plastic bags on our beaches or plastics straws on the ground. Now we have to buy paper bags at the shop and use dodgy paper straws. The developed world is trying to fix a non problem that actually exists elsewhere.
Re:Father Ted Kilnettle Shrine Tape Dispenser on Monday June 02, 2025 @05:24AM (#44157060)
We loved it in Australia.

Re:I have tinnitus. I don't recommend it on Thursday May 22, 2025 @08:23PM (#44068563)
I have permanent continuous tinnitus as a result of being exposed to high intensity noise and concussion association with 155 mm artillery in my work with Army. Although it never stops I can mentally block it out somehow but whenever I think about it it is always there, a loud, high pitched continuous tone. If I'm tired, sick or stressed it can be worse.
Is a car on the street a private place deserving legal protections? If so then you can do anything in a car and claim it is private but surely that's not true. A passerby or a policeman has the right to look through the glass windows of a car. Perhaps what's going on here is people aren't happy that they have been caught out doing the wrong thing and solicitors smell money. I recommend not using a phone while driving because it can distract your attention and cause an accident which might injure or kill people.
Re:The Great Displacement Is Already Well Underway on Tuesday May 13, 2025 @02:18AM (#43970045)
I don't know what the situation is in the United States but down here in Australia trained members of the military are very well paid with excellent conditions and they are recruiting cyber and technical roles.
