Nice idea. Sort of changes ideas as to what an IDE can/should do.
Re:Paint.Net 4.0 is now available on Wednesday June 25, 2014 @08:36AM (#7943501)
It is impressive that Paint.NET keeps on releasing updated software for free.
What they charge as a 'fee' for each CC transaction will determine what competition in the online payment space will look like over the next few years...

Sometimes GC is nice, sometimes it isn't. I like langs that give you options.

Google needs more data so that Google Maps can map the inside of your house. :-)
Re:Heap's new interface for analytics: clicking around your site on Wednesday February 19, 2014 @02:47PM (#7265766)
Agreed. Great idea - taking what can be a complex process and making it as simple as possible.
Maybe having a physical button/dial with these features (like the Nest thermostat) would give people more connection to the 'past interfaces'?
I agree. There are many good interface ideas here, but cars interfaces need to reach people of all sorts. ie. people with handicaps, disabilities, etc.

Great ideas though. It's great to see someone working on this! Nice job.

Thank you for sharing your opinion. Where technology is concerned, I find the simplest route is usually the best.

Sometimes certain libraries 'make sense' to me. Sometimes other people on a project choose a library because it makes sense to them.

I like that you tried to make it clear to your client by putting it in the time/money perspective.

Re:Introducing Bing Code Search for C# on Monday February 17, 2014 @03:58PM (#7254445)
It is a lock in (most technology does lock you into certain dependencies) and it does cost money. But, it's all so easy to use now / saves you lots of time. You can roll out anything using PowerShell these days. Or just copy VMs with OS/IIS/SQL already set-up.

Deploying everything can be one-click. VS even has git integration now.

The old IIS is like you describe. But, the latest IIS is fast and easy.

I think people rarely take into consideration the cost of a project beyond the actual software. VS can save a lot of time – this extension is a good example.

Yet another way to view text, images, and video. For me, really comes down to the content. Does the content interest me? - I can't tell by the site.

Sounds like we need an 'Internet' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerberos_(protocol)
Nice EPS @ $0.78 as well.

That's why web typography is worth knowing as well!
