Ok, yeah. That’s a good point.
I do mean A.I. voice clone usage where you provide the voice, i.e. feed the machine, in order to smoothen the production of voiceover and then double-check and quality-assure the end result. If not good enough, I would never submit it to an audition or client.
(And I’m speaking from voiceover artist perspective who’s trying to be smart and ethical about A.I. usage.)
I’m only critizing the scarcity stance we voiceover tend to fear A.I. instead of embracing it, in more of an abundance mindset.
Is what you’re saying related to email marketing?
Could you rephrase it, please?
I’d appreciate it.
That’s very kind of you. I did indeed delete the post after I saw it got flagged because I was scared it would cause my profile to get deleted or something like that.
I now gave it a 2nd try, see: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=25417505
If it also gets flagged, I’ll send a message to the mod [email protected].
SUPER THX for the two patio11 links. I added them to my reading list!
Cheers, - Alex :)
Do you find current email marketing boring too?
I’m just bored of transactional emails, isn’t there a better way?
Email marketing is boring, for me.I’ve been thinking about the whole email marketing spiel that has been going on for a while. There’s a lot of transactional interaction happening and when I’m looking at for-profit startups and even nonprofit organizations, I’m not seeing a whole lot of good storytelling.Instead I’m faced with me Me ME messages about how cool they are and what nice discounts...

What about feedback like:
"I'm personally getting sick of websites that have a button that says it'll do one thing, but instead I get redirected to give my information to someone I don't know or trust. No thanks."
The person felt offended because of being asked to enter information, information that was necessary to provide what the person was looking for, hence he pressed the button in the first place.
So, the person doesn't trust or know the business or service but the service needs that information to provide what the person is looking for.
A chicken-egg problem, it feels. Or a matter of communication it well?
How do you make a startup without faking it?
Connecting two parties (people + places) as a startup lacks both first as you just started. You want to show you exist but need to collect both so your website is not empty. How do you convince people you're real and not „fake“, „imposter“, „fraud“, or even a „lier“ so they don't feel betrayed?
