The latest release of Ubuntu already provides this.

I'm running it on the latest zenbook S14, on the ultra 7. Great battery life, and no problems entering/exiting sleep mode.

And if you want to go full circle, you can use rss2email[0] to manage your RSS feeds in your favorite email client. Yes, even gmail.

rss2email was originally written by Aaron Swartz.

I thought this was similar ot Tiddlywiki[0], but then I saw all the LLM integration stuff.

Neat! Unfortunately Firefox doesn't allow rendering of the post page inside the Brutalist windows. I get the following error: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/xframe-neterror-page?as...
Anyone know of an Adguard home or pihole equivalent service I can run as part of OPNSense?

I currently have a different machine dedicated to pihole, but it would be intriguing to have something built in. I would imagine split DNS and firewall rules would be simpler this way.

Re:Show HN: Twine – Gorgeous open source multiplatform RSS app on Wednesday January 31, 2024 @02:57PM (#39208538)
For a long time I've been a happy user of rss2email, originally written by Aaron Swartz. https://github.com/rss2email/rss2email

It periodically fetches the rss feeds, and sends the content to a specified email address where you can use your email reader to sort them into folders.

Assuming you have a "good" email client, this takes care of most of my RSS requirements: Free software, offline availability, and the ability to read anywhere.

The only missing feature I think it could use is a nice GUI to manage feeds.

Vscode is missing showing the call hierarchy[0]. And in addition to the mediocre debugging experience compared to Intellij products, I would definitely rank it as one of the worst C++ IDEs available.

They still haven't fixed the 15 year old bug allowing you to open a compose window in a new tab.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449299

Does clicking on "New Message" still create a new window instead of letting the new message be composed in a tab?

That's the one "feature" I've been waiting on that just seems to be stuck in limbo.

Looks like the bug is still open: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449299

Re:BrowserBox Pro goes open-source on Saturday June 24, 2023 @10:59PM (#36464785)
The title should be changed as it is not "open source" as is used when talking about software licenses, or as defined by the OSI [0]

Like others have said, this is an engine reimplantation, not the game.

Like openmw, it requires the original game.

I think the title is misleading.

I haven't found anything better than using Unison. Maybe the linked README could compare prior art?
Re:Advantages of Monorepos (2015) on Thursday April 07, 2022 @11:51AM (#30946156)
I think its worth calling out that there are different types of monorepos.

For example, I've worked in a monorepo that was one giant binary, but I've also worked in a monorepo that was a single repo that contained 4 ish independent services ( but were all in a single git repo ).
