I had a net worth of over $200k when I was 34 and making like ~$20/hr. Mostly from Bitcoin
Some of us put money into Terra, Atom, and other blockchains that either failed spectacularly or just kind of faded into irrelevance.

Wow! Light Scribe on the data side!
Re:Polyend releases the Tracker firmware source code on Monday November 02, 2026 @07:54PM (#50346541)
Exciting! I have a Tracker I need to update. I've also been seen stuff about Doom OS for the SP404 MK2, need to update that too.
Re:LLM Voice on Friday October 30, 2026 @01:49PM (#50307572)
I've never heard of this. Is that legal? Is there a market for this?

Off topic, but vote swapping? What?

>Me, I voted straight-ticket Democrat today, as I’ve done in every election since I became eligible over a quarter-century ago (except for when I vote-swapped with someone from another state).

Since when are they semi respected?
Re:Leak website releases data on DHS employees on Thursday October 29, 2026 @08:35PM (#50298361)
Crime happens. I don't think they're at a higher risk than anyone else.
Re:Leak website releases data on DHS employees on Thursday October 29, 2026 @08:11AM (#50287722)
Why isn't it happening to state employees? Why do you think federal employees are special?
Re:Leak website releases data on DHS employees on Thursday October 29, 2026 @01:14AM (#50284818)
What's the difference? BCI is the state equivalent of the FBI. Do you think people are going to go out and kill them just because their identities are public? That's absurd.

Re:Get Ready for Touch on Mac on Wednesday October 28, 2026 @08:39PM (#50282929)
I got a touchscreen laptop in 2013 or 2014. It was cool for a couple days, then just annoying when I accidentally clicked on stuff. My new work laptop has a touchscreen and I occasionally use it to scroll. I mostly forget about the touch feature until I'm showing a colleague something and they accidentally click it. Kind of surprising how many people touch laptop screens

I don't know if every state is like this, but in my state, all state employee salaries are public information that anyone can look up. Why should federal employees have their information hidden? They're supposed to work for us.
Yeah I know I can do it but I don't know if you want to go to the store or something else. You need to get a new phone number for the car and running ableton minutes late to the house
I was reading his Wikipedia page and it makes me want to seek out some of his writings to get an idea of the thought process of his followers. I won't be doing that though because I'll probably be put on a watchlist. It's the same fascination I have about traditional cults and really anyone who has extreme/fringe beliefs.

Yes, just another lying or compromised politician.
Yep, Obama is a mass murderer just like the rest of them. People tend to not care until the oppression comes home and is in plain view.
It is both sides. Republicans accelerate it, but Democrats don't shut it down when they have the chance. Obama and Biden had 12 years to fix it.

The audiobook was fantastic
The company I work for has had 2 or 3 rounds of layoffs over the past year and a half. CEO and VPs haven't got laid off or a paycut. I think cuts should start with leadership. They need to own the mistakes that were made.

Roc the Mic. Beanie Sigel and Freeway. Haven't heard that song in a loooong time.

Ipod seems pretty cool. I never owned one, kind of want to get a modded one or a newer knock off

Re:The era of speedball capitalism on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @10:19PM (#50190370)
Reminds me of some degen crypto stuff a few years ago, but now for the whole economy. Amazing
Cool! Pixel sorted falls!
Yeah like d&d, I think
Currently reading that. Great book
1. Sounds like a conspiracy charge. That's fine

2. They could proactively train them to be bad at that

My lights confuse me so I just leave them on all the time. Safer that way anyway
