So I’d suspect they’re saying time and distance would need to be factored in rather than just looking at static images relative to our position today since our own spin may have caused a particular galaxy to appear to have been spinning in a different direction at another point in space-time
Things like cr-SQLite also have a lot of potential to make single SQLite per client a lot more viable. But I’m interested to see what you think the problems are? Have you found a solution or alternative?

Are the raw files in the working repository GeoPackages? How is it tracking the changes made inside the geopackages? What happens if it's replaced with an updated copy of the geopackage the was edited via some other application? How does it diff the changes?
I assume it’s using WASM for browser based web encoding? Is local encoding always guaranteed to be faster or could some internet connections be fast enough that an upload would beat out the client side encoding depending on device capabilities?
Automatic captioning and clipping based on transcripts are great features.
Especially if it can be done real-time and according to the context/level of the audience/listener. Even within the same language, translation from a more technical/expert level to a simplified summary helps education/communication/knowledge transfer significantly.
Having learned another language, the moment you start to feel “fluent” is when you start thinking first in the 2nd language and aren’t using your first language as an intermediate step to your 2nd language.

The engineers write the unit tests, integration tests and create the initial draft of a manually executed (zephyr) test.
The sprint tester enhances the manual test and also creates the customer facing documentation/training content. What’s been nice about this is if the sprint tester finds its overly complicated to explain a new feature they can provide feedback about the design before it gets merged into the production builds. In this way they’re not just documenting what’s been done, but are contributing to the design.
Fortunately I think for both Apple and Microsoft, they still have internal resources in the upper-ranks that truly care about what's best for their customers. If those people end up being the prevailing voices they will succeed. I think a lot depends on whether the CEO has control of the vision, or if they're actually just managing operations. Cracks are shown in the form of who they are able to retain & hire and who is leaving.
So if it wasn’t wasteful, my question is, does a decentralized currency provide any real value? From my limited perspective it seems like it would solve some problems with things like inflation, free market transactions — but it also probably creates new problems. I guess my question is, would the world ultimately be better off or worse off if a decentralized currency was the predominant world currency?
Right now the belief of most bitcoin/crypto adopters is that it’s a way to get rich quick
Like most macroeconomic forces, it matters more what the majority believe to be true than what the vision is for something, whether it’s true or not.
The problem is bitcoin is being treated like an investment because of “greater fool theory” and no one is treating it like a currency in any meaningful way. It’s crashing because it’s not showing its value as an effective currency. At least not yet. Right now it’s a store for excess liquidity and that makes it too volatile to function as a currency.
CRUD Database products like Jira, Salesforce, Airtable, Notion, Clickup, Asana, etc. seem like internal line of business services that just need to be thick clients with a distributed database. Most individual businesses/tenants won’t have to deal with more than 100 concurrent writes at a time (if that) so SQLite could definitely handle that.
