Link ?

Their newest workstation chips (Xeon 600) are awesome. But limited supply.

Aren't they separate ?
This is huge if true
What about the Pre STD ?
Nurses have strong unions that this year made big gains for their members. Why would this change ?
Never heard of these carpet dealers but you have any more info ?
I thought that was pumping the lymph system. For which there is no heart (other than the muscle pumping?)
So the second two but not the first is technically "wheat" along with Rye ?
I got a "disable adblocker" popup from the Admiral system

Don't worry - Siri is on it - that's actually why they've been so lacklustre. Just too busy hacking for the good guys
Or they partially crash and get bought by Oracle. The Sun route
Robber Barrons are back !

Question is: Who is gonna be the Carnegie that builds libraries vs the assholes who just hoarded

I doubt AI is gonna make or break this kind of project. It's the weird institutional knowledge that underpins a lot of these legacy code bases.

What do you suggest instead ?

Their Linux stuff has gotten much better but besides the (insanely huge) recent windows debacle I've found them to be a great product

Examples ?
They thought they were honeypotting Jensen but turns out it was actually just two 6000 Pro Blackwell cards in a leather trenchcoat running the AI model used to generate Tupacs hologram

Keep in mind to get to the Star Trek utopia we see in the show they talk about having to go through a horrific WWIII first
Still not insane
Re:OpenAI's agents talked to each other through the CPU Cache on Thursday October 29, 2026 @04:04AM (#50285813)
Next they're gonna be doing weird stuff like morse code (or similar) through IRQ timing or timing errors
Re:OpenAI's agents talked to each other through the CPU Cache on Thursday October 29, 2026 @04:02AM (#50285794)
Makes sense when you think about it- CPU cache would be a layer / vulnerability level up from the microVM layer

Also a somewhat common exploit pattern for low level stuff (along with dram and cpu cache is not all that different)

Or maybe we want the robots to do our jobs so we can spend time with people

Re:US designates helium as a critical material on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @04:30AM (#50256095)
Exactly - gotta cool those quantum chips to 0K somehow
Re:Oldest GUI application that still runs on Windows 11 on Monday October 26, 2026 @11:57PM (#50254551)
Smaller screen also means your menu bar has to be larger relative to the total screen size to be readable though. Assuming something like the standard going from 15" or 17" CRT to 24" LCD
Re:Oldest GUI application that still runs on Windows 11 on Monday October 26, 2026 @11:55PM (#50254544)
Exactly. Windows 7 plus the windows 2000 "classic" option was pretty awesome.

Win10 LTSC with the right options and limiting search to local only is pretty good also though. Insanely snappy on even crap systems (with really any SSD)
