Re:Our position on open-weights models on Tuesday July 28, 2026 @01:25AM (#49079730)
Africans are more indebted to Western multilateral organizations and private Western bondholders than to the Chinese. The idea that Africans are being finessed by the Chinese is racist and stems from a "we know what's good for you" imperialistic lens.
Re:Kimi K3 is now live on Thursday July 16, 2026 @03:48PM (#48939376)
Do you have moat if your advanced model can be distilled in a month or two ?
Re:Inkling: Our Open-Weights Model on Wednesday July 15, 2026 @03:15PM (#48925747)
Raised 2 billion dollars at a 12 billion valuation and debuts at 41 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, while KIMI and DeepSeek will release Fable-class models this week. What a joke.

Kuweires airbase in Syria never fell to isis and held for over two years.
Such a retarded scam I doubt anyone would pay .
Republicans trust Americans with guns and not an LLM. That should tell you something.
What happens when open source models achieve Mythos level capabilities in six months' time?
Re:The frontier is open-source today on Saturday June 20, 2026 @04:12PM (#48612582)
Never stop cheering for open source . If you were a human 3000 years ago ,you wouldn't want fire to be controlled by two chiefs.
The UK has always been an authoritarian country masquerading as a democracy.
Becoming such a sore loser. Historians will probably look this as the most shameful period of the American empire.
Re:Open source AI must win on Friday June 12, 2026 @10:39PM (#48512174)
Were it not for China, America would have restricted the most advanced models from being used outside the US. NATO members would have access to GPT-4, with some countries entirely blocked from AI.

Biden's GPU controls should give you an idea. Thank you, China. Open source AI must win.

this is just the Trump admin bullying anthropic for not going along with militarization and surveillance.
The writer is on to something. Musk saw the writing on the wall and bought cursor. AI money is in coding plans
If Russia is an existential threat to EU, wouldn't it make sense to confiscate that money and declare war on Moscow ? Either that or Russia is not a threat.
Re:Liverpool and Manchester Railway on Wednesday May 27, 2026 @01:09AM (#48289925)
This country used to invent and build things.
How are these "capacity constrained" Chinese companies running inference without Hoppers and Blackwells ?
Fun fact;In 1992 ,he advised Chinese leaders to focus on new energy vehicles as they would never catch up on ice. Looks like his counsel was taken as we can see the results today.
They've done well for themselves for sure . 20 years ago, Poland was sending seasonal workers to the UK to pick tomatoes. Brexit largely won because of anti Eastern Europe immigration
Re:China blocks Meta's acquisition of AI startup Manus on Tuesday April 28, 2026 @02:07AM (#47930923)
Anyone of those would be better than the US
Trump just needs to ask them to jump and they will ask how high.
Re:Sam Altman's response to Molotov cocktail incident on Friday April 10, 2026 @11:56PM (#47727215)
Your(American)future will be controlled by them. Very soon, they will get the government to ban bad Chinese open source models and your choice will only be these good democratic closed source AIs.
We can get videos from remote hellholes of Africa like Dafur and Mali but apparently, that's too much to ask in Xinjiang. We can't even get satellite images to show us evidence of this so called wigur genocide
Looks like Americans are adopting Chinese censorship methods. You won't see it thus it never happened.
Re:Apple I Advertisement (1976) on Sunday February 01, 2026 @03:36PM (#46849124)
Heard to believe that all this (product and ad) was by kids barely out of teenage.
Re:Qwen3-Max-Thinking on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @12:17AM (#46775826)
If that's how it is done, we'd have very many models from all manner of countries. I mean ,how difficult is distillation for India , Japan and EU ?
Re:Qwen3-Max-Thinking on Tuesday January 27, 2026 @12:12AM (#46775786)
Wouldn't be surprised this is information warfare. Derailing technical conversations on Chinese models in 2026 with nonsensical comments is exactly what the US government and Closed AI labs would want .
Only one percent of onlyfan models make money
