Not sure whose bright idea is to always change default setting users are used to for years. I am still missing checkbox to select all messages from specific day/month.
disclaimer - I enjoy porn almost on daily occasion and I have no problem with nudity, but porn certainly doesn't show natural human behavior which should be shown to little kids who don't know any better
I don't really have problem with euro, lived in eurozone country, now outside eurozone, it's not that convenient for local gov to not be able to manage own currency but it's still doable. If I had to pick single dumbest thing my vote would go for Green Deal.
Eurozone for me is a losers club, just have a look at any stats where non-eurozone countries beat eurozone, only poor countries wanna join, similar applies to EU, why would any developed rich country join EU...
one would think this is a well known fact already after the PIN nag screen forcing users to use PIN or have half of the screen blocked (at that time we left with family and never returned back) or removal of SMS feature, which would be only reason why to keep Signal in the phone for those few people who use it since you could use it at least to receive SMS
TBH Firefox devs are not much better, I remember waiting years and years for pull down to refresh while they kept playing with features nobody asked for (on related note Vivaldi for Android supports already extensions) or Proton Mail devs requiring Android 10 minimum to install the app, while all other clients (Nine Mail, Gmail, etc) are fine with older Android (I mention it because I was setting up old extremely locked phone for my kid recently, I have A16)

> It’s like the wild west of Android phones 10-15 years ago
lifespan of the phone is much shorter than car (so is price), so not really a fair comparison and Xiaomi is still around and many other less known brands (actually that makes me realize I forgot Xiaomi cars, very nice design as well, nice Porsche copy), they just ditched export, but they are still present in China, even 10-15 years ago you had tier 1, tier 2 and other tiers of brands

"ABC (Spanish: [aˈβeθe]) is a Spanish national daily newspaper. Along with El Mundo and El País, it is one of Spain's three newspapers of record."

if you open one of the biggest newspapers in Spain they report already 50 dead
So thanks for giving me downvotes just because you use outdated news sources!
so much for European safety, now compare it to volumes on Chinese HSR and number of deaths there compared to Spain
edit: inconvenient truth for downvoters?
50 according one of the biggesr Spanish newspapers, just open the homepage, you can read 50 even in Spanish
so thanks everyone for downvotes just because you use slow news sources or deny the truth EU high speed trains are extremely dangerous compared to China on deaths/volume
In 2024, EPPO took over the Belgian-led probe into alleged criminal wrongdoing in connection with vaccine negotiations between the European Commission chief and Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. Prosecutors have been investigating von der Leyen for "interference in public functions, destruction of SMS, corruption and conflict of interest," according to legal documents seen by POLITICO.
Asked to respond to the assertion that von der Leyen has failed to provide a statement on the so-called Pfizergate affair, Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier said: "The Commission has demonstrably cooperated extensively with EPPO to clarify facts and assess events."
"This was always done on behalf of and with the full support of the President. The President has always been, and continues to be, very cooperative in answering to any open questions — within the limits of her duties and her availability as President of the Commission.”
In an interview with POLITICO, EPPO chief prosecutor Laura Codruța Kövesi, who wraps up her seven-year tenure on Friday, said she has on multiple occasions dealt with EU officials who refused to answer summons from her office. “Some politicians think that they are above the law,” she said. “If you are called in for a statement, you have to come.”
She added: "I will not be shy to tell you that especially when important people are involved in the investigation — be it high-profile politicians or rich people who are connected to the political class, we have difficulties in exercising our competence."
When asked whether von der Leyen was one of the officials in question, Kövesi said she wouldn't comment on specific investigations.
