A point of sale that processes EMV cards through your Stripe Account

Link: http://www.ideastone.com/stripe-simpleI found out non-EMV (chip) credit card holders are 10x more likely to become fraud victims. That's nutty. On top of that, businesses who do not accept EMV are liable for fraud damages. It lets customers 'dip' their chip cards directly to your card reader and it's processed through your Stripe account (existing or new).

Hook Forms – https://hookforms.com

Super simple form processing that starts attacking spam the moment a user (or bot) hits your page. Captchas, no matter how "smart" are no longer necessary with Hook Forms.

Just generate a form, copy the id into your own <form> tag, embed the JS and it starts working.

See all form submissions in one place, and have people emailed any time a form submission passes our crazy spam checks.

We're in beta for a very short time and almost going live, so TRY IT FOR FREE and let us know what you think!

Thanks YC :D

Been playing with this. It's super handy when I'm working from home and need to show people my files without committing or heroku-ing or anything.

Thoughts?

Anybody else just have the take-away of, "Man, what a colossal douche"? Really discouraging to me re: acting like a totally overconfident tool and liar more so than encouraging re: success.

If it happened today: "OMG WE HAVE GOTTEN SO VIOLENT." Nope. We just have the Internet.

Interesting story.

The main goal was to make sure the industry survived and couldn't be bullied any longer. Even though it's a settlement, it sounds like he may have gotten that, which would be a big win for all the other (smaller) podcasters.

Prediction: As with most everything people want to give away, the ridiculous "internet is a right" argument is about to blow up. It's the quickest path to deride those who disagree with you and elicit guilt, no matter whether it makes sense. It's been misused for many, many things already; no reason for them to stop now.

Haven't you heard? Everybody is the same now, and nobody is to be trusted before anybody else. Can't judge. We're all heroes.
Even without this, there was a 100% chance the guy at the helm of Tinder was a gargantuan douche.

Even though you qualified it, the weather is not worth mentioning when we are talking about an incredible and unacceptably low rate like -3%.

It takes a whole mountain of suck to create that type of suck sandwich.
