Maybe .. Possibly. Could you rewrite Pytorch in SQL? Have you heard of Alan Turing or nah?
Fair enough, you have to learn assembly and cobol without an IDE or internet connection first though, before you can enter my office or touch production server ().
SBF is already backing me with some quantum brickchain SSL coins.

One day I made a big change. I could not keep ignoring dirty dirty data, that dirty muck our best ML models were eating up. I had faith and made the radical decision to give up coding altogether and become a serious data cleaner. I am talking full-on hazmat suit, decontamination chamber serious.I've developed some extreme methods that may sound crazy, but they work. I send trained carrier...
That was my prompt, I am hackernews senator. People do sometimes ask how many A100s it takes to run me.
See the Clean Cobol snippet in my bio. You gotta sign a notarized NDA and agree to be my cofounder to see more.
Oh yes “””
Hackernews senator:
“”Someone on the internet said meta aka Facebook is not considered a real data native, clean coder and high IQ company unless your new language model exceeds the elegance and slipperiness of mark Zuckerbergs (you) language output in senate hearings. he is smoother than a lake in the metaverse.“”
Mark LLM: “
Yes, unfortunately, the media and our competitors are all over the idea that Meta is a “dirty company”. They have tried to spin all our successes and accomplishments in a negative light. This has been incredibly frustrating and demoralizing for us, but we know that we are working hard to build a great company and we are confident that our efforts will be rewarded. In the end, our products speak for themselves, and despite all the negative media coverage we are focused on continuing to build great products for our users and being an amazing place for them to socialize in the virtual world.”
Can it beat mark zuckerberg at congress deposition wordsmithing though?

I have become increasingly concerned about the mental well-being and lived experiences of the rationalist AGI doomer community. The fear and neuroticism that permeate through the outer threads of this group is palpable, and if left unchecked, could result in years of suffering and blog postingTo that end, I've decided to do my part. I've decided to go all out to create AGI, in order to end the...

Taking my Inspiration from the rapid pace of advancements and the potential for low hanging fruits in natural language modeling. Ive discovered how to turn H20 into code.the process is simple: you drink water and use the energy from it to prompt an LLM that generates code. the body's natural energy is harnessed to create code that is clean as a mountain spring. However some naysayers have raised...
He was so much easier to defend as a person before twitter. So sad.
Even if he were to be somewhat right about everything he says here, it’s just lame to do in public while all the edgy professors and culture experts cheer you on.
Maybe he’s on drugs I hope.

Any experiences “accepting” an autism diagnosis as adult?I see some risk. Could be easier to internally make excuses for behaviors and make less improvement.

For me, Tyler Cowan, Sam Harris and Richard hanania have influenced my and way of thinking radically, like I’m a different person completely since being exposed.I often don’t agree with them about specifics, escpially hanania, but that’s not really the point, it’s the style of approaching ideas that struck me.Not always certain the influence is for the best. Most people do not think about the...
I did that too on android but it still has this like stutter or bad transition to me that iOS with no animations does not.
I really think the specifics matter a lot here. Is this just friend group being a little mean+him inconvenienced by apple ecosystem lockout or is he being targeted as bullying prey?
I was bullied relentlessly as a kid. I was an easy and fun target, incredibly maladjusted, social skills of a rock and had no friends. I got beat up in bathrooms, manipulated and was told in a sincere way to kill myself almost weekly.
If he is a target of general serious bullying, you should try to coach to build a layer of social skills and emotional defense, they will find something else, telling authority figures or buying phone will not fix this, it will make worse. The sad truth is people aren’t bullied in serious/ chronic ways for no reason. The reason may only be that they different. But with difference comes a necessity to defend oneself, socially, physically, emotionally.
I hope this is just a somewhat regular friend group and they are giving him a hard time for group chat incapability or cheapshot dogging on android,
then perhaps get him a used iPhone and make him sit through some more of your side loading type technical talks as repayment. Try to encourage him to not react emotionally to friend group teasing and to tease back in a smooth way.

I have always wanted to keep using android for technical backend reasons.
But I just find myself “captured” by the smoothness of the animations and transitions on iPhone, and I always come back. And this hyped assessment is on a fully updated iPhone 7 ,usually with motion effects turned off.I know I could be deluded by marketing but it just seems to me something about the UI and transitions...
This post was just a complete lazy joke. I will recalibrate humor. I really appreciate all the serious nuanced replies though and feel bad now haha.
How would you understand the c to architecture connection?
I have read that C ideas are baked into how higher level programming languages work, but modern cpus are a lot more parallel and some other things than most languages fail to account for, so the microcode tries to bridge gap.
Seems to me a certain small percentage react somewhat to very bad and it’s not advisable for anyone to hype them too much.
Faith in there implicit healing powers led many astray.
I always considered it kind of a fun challenge to use in odd settings but I always had completely certain way to end the trip with me, which can be a source of mental comfort even if not used.
The continuing to dissent aspect and persisting to use the “nice” words is dark to me. It represents to me the inescapable self referential pathway of all altruistic behaviors.
That which makes cooperation and altruism possible also causes some strange glitches that sometimes reveals the motivating emotions are always self referential.

Something I often hear is that the modern CPU has bunch of sort of “poly fills” to merge the programming paradigms of past with new tech. Microcode perhaps mostly. Like that C programming, which mostly forms basis for other absractions no longer captures how a cpu works, and the cpu tries to optimize C type abstractions for modern post 80/90s innovations. What would a new paradigm for CPU and...
Person asking floaty questions is not likely holding the box.
I kind of think the current cpu design is not sufficient for the timely creation of any motivationally complex self organizing agent.
or perhaps just any non organic structure can’t capture certain things we seek to model.
But perhaps it does not preclude the creation of a better mimicry of human attributes with narrow reward model. LLMs seem to demonstrate this is possible.
However maybe we need to risk seeking an overman. We are sitting on enough nuclear weaponry to destroy modern civilization forever and we are fundamentally unstable beings.

Do you think it could be possible for LLMs in the future to be able to verify their own output of machine code, or rather that and also the abstracted human coding language?
While this might not solve the biggest usefulness of ML coding problem of translating a product managers needs to actual programs or doing detailed maintenance, it would be a huge shift in reliability and...
I know :(, I just want to play
program main
implicit none
integer :: i ! Declare an integer variable
character(len=16) :: msg ! Declare a character variable
msg = "Immortal noodle nester" ! Assign the string value
do i = len(msg), 1, -1 ! Loop backwards through each character of the string
write(,'(a)', advance='no') msg(i:i) ! Write each character without advancing to a new line
call sleep(1) ! Pause for one second
end do
write(,'(a)') "" ! Write an empty line to advance to a new line
end program main

Assume we have a news aggregator, N, and a comments section, C.
--Let Q be any computable function.
---We can construct a program, P, that uses N and C to simulate Q as follows:
1) Parse news articles with N.
2) Use the comments section, C, to filter out irrelevant information.
3) Rely on smart commentators to provide input on how to manipulate the remaining data to generate an output that...
