Reading the advice on psychological-resilience section, it also makes a good guide what to do during a mental health episode. i haven't thought of that.
Can you share your findings?

I tried LeechBlock and others but even when i enable the most extreme options, i just press right click and remove extension. Bypassing everything.

Are they though?

Anything involved with the electoral process is doomed to fail. The system is designed that way to squash the few voices that want change. It needs uprooting not band-aid.
They work. But they don't work if your objective is to replace a political party with another one... The problem is the system itself. It needs uprooting.

When reading a book how do you validate the thesis in an unknown field for you?

When reading a book on a topic/field you are unfamiliar, how do you validate that what you are reading it's not BS? For example, i want to read a book about geopolitics that makes statements about a certain phenomenon. How do i know the arguments are not completely BS vs different position/views/opinion of the phenomenon?

Ask HN: How do methodically study a subject or field?

I've always been a person with vast interests: math, history, security, woodworking, etc. I like learning but my study of any topic or field is disorganized and leads to nowhere.I'm not a phd or write a MA thesis. I'm not academic publishing papers but i find the process of deeply studying something fascinating.

Nice too! Does anyone have any working rules for removing 'suggested post' and 'sponsored posts' on Facebook? The current ones i already have stopped working few weeks ago.

Re:Tell HN: Google says “AdBlock for YouTube” contains malware on Thursday September 14, 2023 @04:53AM (#37506501)
Use ublock origin. I'm certain that a) it's not a malware if you download it from the official source and b) it's very powerful.

Either your extension is indeed malicious or YouTube started playing dirty.

Care to explain?
