Re:Ask HN: Who is hiring? (January 2015) on Sunday January 04, 2015 @06:57PM (#8836435)

Is the later position for experienced people only, or will you consider an internship as well?

This sounds like an interesting job :)

Hello. Are you accepting Android interns?

Would you relocate applicants to Boston?

I appreciate your transparency. I'm also a designer. I'd love to work for Buffer.

Re:Rockefeller Brothers Fund Divesting from Fossil Fuels on Tuesday September 23, 2014 @07:08PM (#8358880)

I think it will be very helpful. I don't see many other oil tycoons doing it for now, though. I think the Rockefeller family did it because they are much more environmentally conscious than the oil industry is.

Re:Why You Shouldn't Ask Us to Sign Your NDA on Monday September 08, 2014 @03:16PM (#8286610)

People often treat NDAs as if they are a trivial way to protect ideas. Unfortunately, there is nothing trivial about anything law-related.

NDAs are legal agreements (always a serious thing), and you could end up agreeing to something unreasonable without realizing it.

This is just a warning to ensure that everyone handles NDAs carefully.

Re:Will Fusion Energy Ever Come Together? on Monday September 08, 2014 @03:08PM (#8286571)

The various combined sources of energy available today can help to keep society going more sustainably while Nuclear Fusion technology is under development.

Re:Will Fusion Energy Ever Come Together? on Monday September 08, 2014 @03:07PM (#8286563)

Maybe it will. However, I would remain hopeful, but not bank on it too much, as it may not happen for now.

Society needs to do what they can to increase energy independence and sustainability with whatever they can use now, as time is limited.

Good day.Like the ADT buttons, the Android Studio buttons don't suit me very well. Do you know of a way to make them more attractive, or to use another button widget without using an ImageButton?Thank you for your time!

Re:Intel Unleashes Its First 8-Core Desktop Processor on Saturday August 30, 2014 @12:35PM (#8246845)

I take that back, I see that Intel has ten-core commercial processors on the market already.

Re:Intel Unleashes Its First 8-Core Desktop Processor on Saturday August 30, 2014 @12:34PM (#8246838)

Why didn't they do this sooner?

AMD already has an Operton 16-core processor. I'm not saying that AMD is any better, but I thought Intel would have started selling these from long ago, judging based on the pace of the computer industry.

Re:MSN Messenger to end after 15 years on Saturday August 30, 2014 @12:30PM (#8246827)

I appreciated the ability to have a messenger running on the computer which would always notify me of new messages, instead of having a Facebook tab open in the web browser.
