HERE[0] or OpenStreetMap[1] are both pretty complete and good for a user and developer usage.

Interesting point of view, but is it only related to the Computer Science Engineering field?

There is as well anonbox.net[1] from the CCC which is pretty useful too, even if its functionalities are a little bit different

I am personally using an often not mentioned solution.

I use Gandi.net as registrar for my domain name and they provide email hosting[1], CalDav and CardDav with it. They even have a web interface (using SoGo[2]).

So all my emails, contacts and calendars are properly managed[3] by a French company.

One thing I love to do is to block all the garbage of websites with uBlock Origin by adding my own filters. That does not give a result as good as this project but it quicker to do.

Is it not possible to just use GitHub? I mean, by creating a second repo which would be only for discussion, like tablesaw-support. I have no idea if is it again their ToS however.

I personally still have the "Subscribe" icon (Firefox 59). I had to move it from "Customize" to my toolbar but it is definitely there.

I have never understood why HN does not do like Reddit – replacing the username by [deleted] or ghost.

The most interesting part is that the attack come from cameras, poorly secured IoT can lead us to that such and powerful attack..
