Interestingly, there is also no way to write a loop on i for all the values between 0 and 99 without specifying the order. Luckily, in this case, the compiler is allowed to prove that the order has no impact (because it's local), and to decide that it will scan the values in a different order for optimisation purposes.
So the compiler could do it on a structure as well, as soon as it's able to prove that the structure is not exposed in any way to any code that it doesn't control, but that's much more difficult than proving that variable i is not visible outside of a tight loop.
It's just that I don't always ask myself whether the email I am about to send may contain unnecessary anger and would deserve an extra 5 minutes of cool down.
I would love gmail (or any mail composing tool) to trigger my defined list of unit tests whenever I click on "send". Something similar to OP. For me it would probably be:
- the email must be direct and concise
- the email must be respectful of the recipient and of anyone else would could read
- the email must use proper English
And the AI would give suggestions to reach the goals if some of them failed.

- UK: £187k = $247k (2024)
- FR: €111k = $123k (2023)
Here are a few examples:
- "I believe in free speech, but some opinion are too abhorrent to be protected." -> the person actually does not believe in free speech.
- "I am sorry I reacted like this, but they went too far" -> the person is not sorry.
Contrary to what others said in this thread, I think that the communication has been quite poor for this use case, because the official communication insists on saying that the Java version will still be working, which is a lie: the Java launcher already stopped working for new customers (I met several people who bought Minecraft to use it on Raspberry Pi, and their money is lost, because their purchase doesn't allow them to create the necessary Mojang account), and it will also stop working for all existing accounts in a few weeks.
It was not so hard to decide to make is a FAQ and say "Sorry guys, we are dropping support for all the architectures which are not the top 3 ones, your game will stop working", instead of saying "Don’t worry – the only thing that’s changing is how you log in to the game! [...] Minecraft: Java Edition will stay exactly the same, and we’ll continue to update and support it in the future."

But be careful, the way you phrased it could encourage people to use products that use another vegetable oil, which requires even more hectares to produce (palm oil yield is 5 times higher than the next highest oil yield), and could lead to even more deforestation.
Note that there is nothing wrong with palm oil itself, it's just that the cheapest way to produce edible oil on Earth, is to grow palm oil trees in a tropical climate. Replace palm oil with another vegetable oil, and the effect on deforestation will be even worse, as we would need even more land to grow the replacement. Even Greenpeace is not calling for a boycott or palm oil.
Easy one. They will say that it's because of EU being a bad looser and revengeful to them.
When a company allocates $100 to its employee, the employee receives $100 of salary, pays $20 of income tax, and ends up with $80.
When a company allocates $100 to its shareholder, it's first considered as profit, so the company pays $20 in corporation tax, the shareholder receives $80 of dividends, pays $16 of dividend tax, and ends up with $66.
When a company has $100 profit but does not distribute any dividends, it has to pays $20 in corporation tax, so the shareholder value increases by $80, so if the shareholder sells the share, he receives $80 of capital gain, pays $16 of dividend tax, and ends up with $66.
So, yes, if the all the tax rates are the same, you actually end up taxing capital more than salaried income, which would be a big incentive against creating your own company.
int x = 10;
while (x --> 0) {
printf("%d ", x);
}I think it would be better than the current situation, where Chinese people are left with a poor quality search engine, which won't find a good answer to the question, report them to the government, and do it in a very secretive way.
Amazon: 12.2B
Microsoft: 3.1B
Assuming Amazon continues on the same 25% YoY trend, it would be 15B in 2018. Microsoft could beat that number by reaching a 400% growth rate. That would be pretty amazing. But it's not the case.
So, the policewoman bawled the woman out. No beating involved.
This is so misleading.
When the company in not giving $10 of dividend, the whole company has $10 more on its bank account, so it's worth $10 more overall, distributed across all shares. Now if one share (worth $10 at current valuation) is created, all the shares are back to their original value, and if that share is given to a shareholder, he is effectively owning $10 worth more of the company than before. He didn't get less. And if everyone does it (or everyone but one shareholder, or any other combination) everything is still valid.
