You argue that allowing free commerce on the highways is okay with a relatively small percentage of the population being dangerous to others.

And yet you argue that allowing free commerce in America is not okay with a population that is dangerous to a relatively small percentage of the population.

SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV bind with similar affinities to ACE2. [1]

This is exactly how the pandemic should have been handled. Personal risk should have been allowed to be determined by the individual, not the state, at the expense of personal rights.

Faults in your argument:

Hospitals are mostly empty in the US.

Antibody testing is showing that herd immunity is rapidly growing.

Persons who could be severely infected by COVID are generally not in the workforce.

Like herd immunity, the large stockpile of ventilators will help forestall future pandemic lockdowns.

Just because Congress didn't make the gubernatorial orders doesn't excuse state governors from these constitutional rights violations.

Cut his funding!

This is like saying the governors should be ceding control to the federal administration.

Name me a country with universal healthcare with a lower COVID-19 death rate per capita than the US.

Not so:

Edit: Besides, what if the cure already exists, and Big Pharma wants to make more money selling long-term treatment drugs and equipment?

> There is now a near-infinite supply of YouTube content. OF COURSE the advertising rates are approaching zero.

This doesn't make sense to me. The advertising rates are a connection between the advertiser and the consumer. If the content scales to infinity, there's still the same number of consumers that advertising dollars compete for regardless of available content.

> The channels that will survive here are going to play ball and raise the quality of their content and production values. They're going to be family safe. They're going to provide lots of content and it's going to be shot multi-camera by a staff of people. Smaller creators days on the platform are numbered.

> Thing is, the channels that do this best can do this for themselves. They don't need YouTube if they build a dedicated-enough audience.

Then that leaves room for the smaller creators.

My wife works at a drug rehab and they are starting to see an uptick in new patients.
