HelloBeautiful

Remember 200 years ago when industrial pollution was a solved problem?
No, she got the proper punishment for stealing from the corporate masters of US. She'll be trapped by the prison industry for the rest of her life.

EDIT: OK, my bad. But Australia is run by the same ppl in the same way. NWO and the world government are around the corner anyway :D

Re:Sony loses 12,700 credit card numbers on Monday May 02, 2011 @09:27PM (#2508625)
Lows and rules don't apply to mega-corps like Sony, Amazon, Ebay/PayPal, Google, Apple, etc. They all have no problem storing all this together with address, SSN and everything else.
>> With 4.0, C# and the platform has really matured from its origins as a Java clone

So LINQ, proper generics, indexers, first class properties, delegates, events, using blocks, lambdas ... were cloned from Java?

Re:The Hot/Crazy Solid State Drive Scale on Monday May 02, 2011 @10:59AM (#2506466)
5 SSDs here, got the oldest 2.5 years ago. No failures so far. I've run them as system drives, DB storage and so on.

I'd think a reason for quick wear out may be swap memory. I've never put a swap file/partition on mine.

Re:Rootkit on a Brand new Toshiba laptop on Saturday April 30, 2011 @06:49PM (#2501786)
How would you react if you find the builder of your home has installed hidden cameras in every single room? If you somehow find about it and call him he'll turn them off. No big deal, right? If you're a proper person you have nothing to hide anyway ...
Re:Netflix Is Killing BitTorrent in The US on Thursday April 28, 2011 @06:55AM (#2492853)
That is a bad news. If the movie industry succeeds in getting rid of privacy, the prices of Netflix subscriptions, BR disks, movie tickets, etc. will go way way up ... And those money won't go anywhere near the artists and other content producers. Plus ppl will be unable to use free software like Linux and Firefox to watch movies.
Re:Google, Can Indie Stone Have Their Money? on Tuesday April 26, 2011 @01:17PM (#2486200)
Mailing cash is obviously very different from a Bitcoin transfer (speed, security, legal issues).

>> Bitcoin doesn't remove banks

Yes, it does in this case. One can receive money electronically through Bitcoin, without account with a bank, PayPal or Google.

Seth Shostak's podcast - http://radio.seti.org/ . Highly recommended ;-)
If you're in a state that allows gay marriage and have a non-married co-founder with citizenship ...

I'd just keep talking with immigration layers, until someone gives me a way out.

Re:Complexity is the enemy on Sunday April 24, 2011 @06:13AM (#2478600)
>> Aim for C-style abstractions in Python.

Worst programming advice ever IMHO. As Sir Isaac Newton used to say: "If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants." If you think and program in simple abstractions, you'll be unable to solve complex problems.

Re:Petrodollar Warfare -- AKA the "Oil Currency Wars" on Saturday April 23, 2011 @09:10PM (#2478033)
The root cause seems to be the existence of independent central banks in those countries. That is what allows them to switch the trade to euros and provokes occupation by NATO.
Re:Petrodollar Warfare -- AKA the "Oil Currency Wars" on Saturday April 23, 2011 @09:05PM (#2478023)
Yes, really. There is a huge amount of US dollars circling in the oil trade. If those were instead used to buy non-oil stuff, the price of non-oil things will go way up and so the value of dollar way down.

Re:Amazon Web Services are down on Thursday April 21, 2011 @07:21AM (#2470188)
You don't understand, Skynet is using all Amazon resources, hence the outages ;-)

Amazon have stated many times that amazon.com itself runs mostly on AWS platform, but it works fine now ...

There is a great (no sarcasm) air company in your country, called Ryanair. Don't even try it with them :D

Re:Hashify.me - store entire website content in the URL on Tuesday April 19, 2011 @07:47PM (#2464701)
There is no max length in the standard. Of course every browser has a max it can handle. For IE it is 2000 characters.
Re:Hashify.me - store entire website content in the URL on Tuesday April 19, 2011 @07:45PM (#2464696)
End users are given bit.ly URL with a hash.
Re:Hashify.me - store entire website content in the URL on Tuesday April 19, 2011 @07:41PM (#2464684)
No ;-)
Apple did sue Microsoft over Windows interface.

I wonder how Bill Gates feels nowadays for saving Apple, when Steve Jobs got back. Without MS moral support - promising future releases of Mac Office, and a ton of money - Apple would've probably went bust than.

Maybe because of Google Maps on iDevices. Very hard to replace, as there are only 3 companies, including Google, who own somewhat global routing maps.
>> Considering they filed a suit against Apple for infringement, I don't think that was the case.

That's a stupid comment, you even don't mention the outcome of the suit. Ppl fire suits all the time because they think they got a bad deal.

Just use keepvid.com or tubeminator.com to dw ur videos.
