HellDunkel

Such a drag- a few carelessly lumped together Ai demos. I mean the headline says it all, there is not much more to it. ok, no thanks!

B) needs more time and A) provides exactly that.
Re:De-Brainrot Vacations on Monday September 07, 2026 @01:37PM (#49600823)
I wonder if the author is missing an opportunity to step further away by learning physics on this vacation. I usually follow the same playbook- little phone use, slow vacation, hiking in nature, phyical books (carefully selected beforehand- nothing work related, nothing technical), even used to spend a fair bit of time selecting the music i was going to listen to while driving to avoid radio or incar spotify. If lucky, i get these moments of inspiration. if not i return refreshed with slightly altered goals. Like everyone i have a chimp on my shoulder questioning me: could i have been more productive, maybe learn something useful?
Re:Ask HN: How to break Claude Code addiction? on Saturday August 29, 2026 @02:17PM (#49492035)
I know this feeling. Before AI you had to evaluate an idea, plan its inplementation, judge if it is worth it or even doable. Now, you just prompt and see if you keep the output and think of the next thing to do. This can feel addictive. When i get lost in this i try to step away and think about what the bigger goal is and whether i am just distracting myself. I guess this helps me not get drained. But there is something which also helps tremendously: my coworkers do not work on the same things as i do. if they did, i would feel a big pressure to finish first. Are you competing with anyone?
Re:The End of Programming on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @07:07AM (#49446921)
When i look around my programming coworkers i feel this shift poses a problem to many of them. Not so much because AI now does all programming but more because they are so used to working through tasks someone else creates for them.
Rive renderer seems to quite ahead but the GPU triangulation part is still interesting. I wonder how this would compare to rives approach in benchmark.
Seek advice from nice people that you actually know instead of rich people on the internet.
Re:I love LLMs, I hate hype on Monday July 13, 2026 @03:26PM (#48897549)
I remember watching Jurassic Park when it came out and i loved the CGI (the 5 seconds). Now with Ai we should be excited to see the new dinosaurs looking even more realistic but somehow they don’t- they look like in 1996 just not quite as good…
Re:I love LLMs, I hate hype on Sunday July 12, 2026 @03:25PM (#48883813)
How to you love this stuff so hard? I could newer love any ai generated music, book or artwork. Anything ai gemerated i have ever seem or heard was either disgustingly slop or indistinguishable from something else which was real. It‘s a like finding a cool track only to discover it‘s a lazy bootleg.
Re:Epic Games announces Lore version control system on Wednesday June 17, 2026 @02:57PM (#48575061)
Why is this ranking #1 on HN? Seems quite niche to me.

"normalised deployments," sounds even worse than tokenmaxxing
well said! especially like the fact you chose IMO in favor IMHO.

Microsoft Outlook and Team are about the messiest places on my desk.
I was such an adventure game fan as a kid. 2025 was a great year for point & click adventures and 2026 could be even better!
Re:ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data on Sunday January 25, 2026 @04:28PM (#46758459)
If you have nothing so say for yourself that is more than beeing boring, it is beeing indifferent which is just one step away from amoral.
Re:ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data on Sunday January 25, 2026 @03:53PM (#46758082)
Not as clever as it may sound. It is perfectly possible that someone has nothing to hide in a good way, whereas someone without anything to say for himself cannot be easily imagined as a good faith social individual. So in a way this is comparing apples to bad apples and claiming they are perfectly equal.
Re:The Influentists: AI hype without proof on Wednesday January 14, 2026 @04:54PM (#46624203)
This is a strage phenomenon where people get excited by the mere fact that someone else is excited by something which is not directly visible to the spectator. It works well in horror movies and as it seems with AI hype.
Yes. People are so much more enjoyable and interesting when they have a life, go out, have hobbies, do things a little different to everyone else.

what drugs are you using?

Re:Ask HN: Is There a HN for Game Devs? on Tuesday January 06, 2026 @04:02PM (#46518686)
I guess many use twatter to stay up to date or promote but a GN would be so much better.
I curious how you paste diffs into the Ai. And wouldnt a coding assistant in the IDE be a much more convenient solution?

Re:Ask HN: Does reading HN make you happy? on Thursday January 01, 2026 @02:04AM (#46451982)
I feel HN has become a lot less philosophical, more techy over the last couple of years. The political devide can also be felt. Does it make happy? Probably not. it‘s like the news. And for tech news it’s actually quite good.
What is this „Chat Control in the EU“ ?
Re:Don't Become the Machine on Wednesday December 24, 2025 @10:34AM (#46376446)
Now if you could explain it to a 5 year old..
Re:Don't Become the Machine on Wednesday December 24, 2025 @10:19AM (#46376320)
I have trouble figuring what this is about. You could read it as „don’t fall for hustle culture“ or „don’t work hard, work smart“ which is just a different version of hustle culture. May also be a warning on AI and the cost of trying to stay afloat.
Re:Don't Become the Machine on Wednesday December 24, 2025 @07:49AM (#46375134)
Don‘t worry, these „LLM Whisperers“ are too busy on social media to get anything done.
Re:Reflections on AI at the End of 2025 on Saturday December 20, 2025 @06:11AM (#46335337)
Tldr: AI bro wrote pro-AI piece revealing nothing new under the sun.
Not sure about the „minimal resources“. Didn‘t he come up with his own programming language for thia one? Maybe should have invested more in art.
