React Native has always been so so terrible, I was convinced anyone who advocated for it had no taste or care for UX
Re:Deno Is Joining Cloudflare on Friday October 09, 2026 @09:58AM (#50020653)
Deno was a good idea in the Old World of software development before LLMs, and simply doesn’t make sense anymore.
Re:Fastpotify on Tuesday September 01, 2026 @11:44AM (#49523553)
I couldn't disagree more
Care to elaborate?

Product Hunt is a legacy platform

Show HN: Invader – an indie iOS podcast player that never phones home

https://invader.gg/

I got tired of podcast apps with bad UX, so I built and shipped the app I always wanted for myself. Designed entirely with myself as the user in mind, from someone who's spent ten years doing software engineering and product design. I'd love your feedback:https://apps.apple.com/us/app/invader-podcast-app/id67813207...https://invader.gg/

Some of it feels like so.
Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to GitHub on Monday August 17, 2026 @08:35PM (#49339645)
A big difference between Probed and Slack Connect is being able to create public community channels where all your users can talk to each other. You also get a feedback system, a public roadmap, and other features to help foster that community-driven growth.

Anyone here know why the animations in the Fastmail iOS app don't run in 60FPS?

Looks neat! I'll try your project if you try mine: https://getprobed.chat/

What are people using as alternatives for GitHub Actions specifically these days?
Re:Firefox for iOS now has a native adblocker on Sunday August 16, 2026 @12:02PM (#49321242)
Love Firefox. But I always thought it was terribly misguided product direction of them to ever release this as a separate iOS app.
Well said.
Re:What Is a Product? on Friday August 07, 2026 @09:19AM (#49209962)
This article is riddled with logical fallacies. And this is a very Silicon Valley-esque, growth-minded, narrow way of thinking about this new world we live in.

I maintain half a dozen products, some of which enjoy only a handful of dedicated users, and I consider them all a resounding success. We are living in a new future of readily available custom software for extremely niche use cases.

> Don't feel bad if you don't have anything to show up with all the free intelligence available nowadays. Almost nobody has.

But I can empathize with the author's attempt at "vibe writing" something meaningful, considering that they seemingly don't have anything better to "show up with".

Seems neat
Re:Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026) on Monday June 15, 2026 @09:09AM (#48540733)
Building https://probed.chat!

A chat platform for founders, creators, and small teams to talk directly to their users! No more email or ticket queues. Build a real community around what you make.

I built this because I've seen firsthand how community Discords just don't scale for support or community-driven product growth.

Would love your feedback if you try it out.
