Ah yes, making the same mistake again.

Very good. Do it till they learn. A 3rd and 4th wave please.

You can build a kernel yourself, you know?
There are tons of ways to make air gappped systems transmit data. They all include the installation of some malware and have become more expensive and less usable over time.

Back in the day with crt screens you could just capture the frequencies transmitted when creating the picture and look at the copy straight away.

No malware. No direct contact. And it worked over rather big distances.

#!/usr/bin/env bash

Ah yes.

Systemic problems everywhere, Woody!

Unless they work at Intel or AMD...
Javascript and people doing things with it that they shouldn't is at the core of the problem.

Except: Wikipedia...

The 16bit support was removed with windows 2008. It wasn't just the "DOS" support (NTVDM). They also removed the last OS/2 and SFU layer with 2k8 iirc.

It's really funny how it is always right-wing backlash and how the magazine's independence is at stake when the owners want it to remain neutral.

The sheer idea that people from all political sides could be complaining because they don't want politics everywhere never comes to mind.

Also the fact that Helmuth fundamentally altered the magazine's course by pushing politics is completely ignored. Instead, when the owners have to forcefully correct the course it's being sold as threatening the magazine's independence.

Same old, same old...

The chances of China becoming a democracy in the next 20 years are higher than us still being one.

I use my tv card and my printer to encrypt/decrypt my harddrives. Best hardware keys ever.
Re:eMudhra to Exit Global SSL/TLS Certificate Business on Thursday October 22, 2026 @04:23PM (#50200508)
Up Next: A subsidiary with a different name continuing the business and taking care of the old emudrah certificates as long as they're in rotation.
>85% ran software with known security flaws. That includes 527 older controllers Danfoss no longer supports. Only 195 had every known fix.

As long as the fridges are used the controller has to be supported.

This isn't a raspberry pi $50 a pop...

Naa, far left are the international socialists.

>The analysis finds that age verification laws have serious human rights implications and ironically harm the very individuals they deem to protect.

I wonder how expensive the mental gymnastics are that bring you from "no access to pr0n for kids is good" to "no access to pr0n for kids harms them".

Or the line:

>Unfortunately, age verification systems foster unequal access to information and provide an asymmetric solution to find essential information, build community, and weigh in on public discourse. As governments and companies increasingly require users to prove their age before accessing online services, these individuals risk being excluded from large parts of the internet altogether.

Yeah, that's the whole purpose. You're under the age of 18, no pr0n information for you.

Four years later, AMD (ATI) offered an "easy upgrade path" by accident:

It was a fun time :o)

They stopped that years ago. Safari for windows was a thing.
Put the authentication in the reverse proxy.

Not authenticated, no access to any endpoint.

Game over.

Citroen doing the Citroen thing: Building cars that are way ahead of their time and that nobody buys in the end.

Let's hope this time it's different.

Besides VMAF Netflix also released an image comparing framework back in 2020. Might be worth a look: https://netflixtechblog.com/avif-for-next-generation-image-c...

Avif.

Especially for animated images. Comparing webp or avif sizes to gif is easily a factor of five to ten when animated.

You need to read the manual.

People only reading the manual after they shot themselves in the foot.

Hilarious!

Re:LineageOS 24.0 on Sunday October 11, 2026 @02:32PM (#50046297)
The alibi open source version of android that only runs on hardware in the +1000 USD range.

A bargain for a test device or a daily driver for the not so wealthy.

You want to change something? Want to be recognized for making anything better?

Port it on sub $200 devices.

That's where the masses are.

That's where you start the degoogle revolution. Where you can build a sustainable business.
