Those regulations need an update.

And the simplest solution is to air gap these systems, then figure out how everything else should work.

In NL we use paper and pencils for elections because it makes fraud incredibly hard. It makes the process harder as well but the baseline is that it breaks nation-scale attacks. Why this level of thinking isn't applied to *our foodchain* is beyond me.

Because it's incorrect.

Those are (arguably) adversaries but the actor here is Anthropic, which is not an adversary.

The "lane assist" is very dangerous. I don't understand how this got in cars to begin with, nevermind become mandatory.

It's super "fun" with temporary marking around road works. I bet it works perfectly in a lab but in the real world..

That's a good "decision" but I hope someday they focus on reducing that to one consise sentence instead of 4 sloppy ones.
"after 2019" - you cannot be serious here right?
Yo dawg..

Define "us"

Citation and lots of specification needed.

These are supposedly our brightest minds..

This is true but these projects are rarely presented or interpreted as a proof of concept.
Re:Shadcn/UI now defaults to Base UI instead of Radix on Sunday July 05, 2026 @07:42AM (#48793380)
I think this is really an indictment of the platform. Much more stuff should be covered by the browser.

Thanks internet.

Is it ever that simple?

I do though in other words "I can have my own stuff in any car immediately, it's especially nice on holiday in a rental"
This depends a lot what evil you're protesting.

Well done avoiding the counterpoint and setting plenty of distraction traps along the way. Classic.

Where do you suggest we start? You can't nuke everything at once.

Or change them.

Run over in what way?
This is roughly the idea but the platform is very clunky. My band also somehow lost access to some tracks due to permissions vagueries and in general the experience is very enshittified. I would not recommend it.
Reaper makes periodical autosaves.
6 months is plenty of time to keep ignoring serious tech debt. I don't think your conclusion follows at all from such a short time.
Bun has always been about velocity over quality.

Their whole point was "drop in node replacement" - instead of hitting that target they built an entire framework of tools, seemingly changing focus every month or two, and are now rewriting all that to a new language.

Re:Postmortem: TanStack npm supply-chain compromise on Tuesday May 12, 2026 @12:58AM (#48104352)
We lived through a generation of agism at millennials and now we're turning around and doing it at Gen Z. It's unbelievable.
No idea, I didn't say anything about email.
In the Netherlands you put a sticker on your mail box with either of these: - NO ads, NO magazines/papers - NO ads, YES magazines/papers

Some municipalities even make it opt-in so you'd need YES/YES to get mail without a name and address on it. (ie. not direct mail)

There are also laws to enable opting out of direct mail (with name and address).

In effect, junk mail is just gone once you slap a sticker on your mailbox. This is not an unsolvable problem if you just regulate things.

Invoking a different case with bad logic doesn't make this one any stronger. I never understand this impulse, is it just "nuh uh!"?
So actively making the internet worse. Awesome.

Proof no, but you can safely apply occams razor here.
Re:Do_not_track on Sunday May 03, 2026 @02:49AM (#47994099)
> theoretically > they believe

Exactly. From my experience: the times I've found an ad relevant and worth clicking is about one-to-a-gazillion. Maybe relevance is higher for others but that still doesn't necessarily translate to real value. (ie. your life was improved in any way)

Also, this all presumes the targeting actually works and the current sea ads for shoes I just bought disagree with that. It's all just spam.
