This does not mean they care more than someone posting angry anti-nsa comments on reddit. It ain't gonna change a thing
Stong independent womyn don't read no man's study
Are they paying? Then stay until you find another job. Otherwise, just leave now.
You want to fight back? Turn off Google services, MSFT services, Facebook, Youtube, Yahoo, DDG, Reddit, Tumblr, etc. for a day, that'll raise awareness like never before. But all these companies don't really care, do they? A day's worth of profit is more important.
> If you gave me a pile of resumes, and told me I had to hire one of the developers in the pile, the first thing I would do is schedule a party and invite all the developers on that list.
Because programmers are very social creatures that would jump on the opportunity to go to a party thrown by some random recruiter. Especially the ones that already work 8-10 hours a day. But you're not looking for programmers, you're looking for brogrammers, aren't you? Carry on then.

You might want to re-work your post to include more details. Most people don't care about "killing" letting agents either.
Better, but you need to stop ranking by points and switch to a relevance metric. There are two main issues right now: A lost of the posts are really old, and the results are plain bad. Here's some results I get when I search for "Go" again:
1. Reddit to go dark on Jan 18 to protest SOPA
2. Go Daddy No Longer Supports SOPA
3. Why we can't go back to business as usual post-PRISM
4. Right click and save as needs to go away
and so on. You could for example, instead of just maching a single keyword, look at the post contents and comments, and see if that keyword appears multiple times. A discussion about Golang is bound to have more entries of "Go" than "Go Daddy no longer supports SOPA".
I'm sorry to say, but at least right now the new search is absolutely dreadful. Try searching for "Go".
RubyMine does this for Ruby as well, if you're not against not using emacs/vim/needle&hand

I'm looking to set up a small web store(on rails) and I've been looking at available solutions. I've found Spree, which seems overkill for my project, ror-ecommerce, which seems to be far from complete, and Piggyback, which hasn't been updated in months. Are any of you using these platforms? What other options do I have for a small-scale store? Am I better off coding it from scratch?
It depends what you want to do with it, honestly. It's definitely "cool", but I'm not sure about its prospects outside a niche market. I personally wouldn't have spent $1500 on it (and still wouldn't, after playing with it), but my employer got it for me.
Pretty much anyone that signs up gets an invite these days, but if someone's interested, I do have a few invites to send out.
EDIT: Whoops sorry guys apparently they expired a few days ago, but if you sign up on their website, you should get an invite in a week or two.
Some "hackers" love sports, the pope is catholic and water is wet.
I find you guys requiring a transcript with the intern application distasteful tbh.
