I have it configured with a delayed opening so that it's not obvious, it doesn't require an app, and by the time you reach the door, the guest is almost there.

When I'm done with it, I flip the switch. It's hard to have it more reliable than this for me.

I've been considering smarter iterations for myself, but I didn't find enough time to fix something that is working really well.

I had the same problem and I've searched for ready made solutions for over an year before I found a guy that reverse-engineers and builds ready-made boards to install in my intercom for less than 30 euro.

I'm unsure if I should post the link or not as it's specific to Romania, but I love how janky the buids are: https://www.olx.ro/d/oferta/automatizare-interfon-electra-cu...

I believe you're on the right path. Exploring and displaying trust between people is one of the big missing pieces on the web.

People are currently replacing the harder questions like "can I trust this person to do what he says he can" with simple or shallow ones based on status and image.

Good luck with this!

It's an inversion of control over your data. Instead of all the data being stored in multiple places outside of your control, your data is stored on a pod and you have better control over what happens to it.

I've been using something similar and I've found it decreased my anxiety with the things I want to get done. I've found that splitting things based on the GTD philosophy helped me reach the right state of mind.

I've been doing the same for the past few years. I started with GTD in Org mode, than switched to Trello and Scrum, but I felt that it wasn't enough and I started mixing the both in Trello.

What are some things that you've learned combining the two?
