Re:Former President Trump is projected to win the presidency on Wednesday November 06, 2024 @09:49PM (#42072843)
I don't understand what is your point.

a) bribing is more probable, happened by foreign country here this Sunday

b) it's a lot more dangerous for the entire society, it's not a vandal in your home, if anonymity is not implemented by voting process, then the local gang leader will force you (and all your neighbors) to vote for him, at the date he will tell you and you won't be able to do anything as he will be in power after these elections and will make possible to fake future elections.

Re:Former President Trump is projected to win the presidency on Wednesday November 06, 2024 @07:41PM (#42071900)
Usually bribers will want some proof, like a photo of your vote, when you go inside and there are election observers and you're not allowed to use your phone it's more difficult to provide that proof.
Re:Former President Trump is projected to win the presidency on Wednesday November 06, 2024 @05:39PM (#42070660)
How can I be sure that you didn't vote under a gun point or you haven't been bribed?
Where is the link to github? I was unable to find the sources from the site.
Re:JavaScript Fatigue on Sunday December 27, 2015 @03:27AM (#10796844)
I think Meteor might be the solution to some of these problems: it's easy to set up, you can start working in few minutes.

Also it's very easy to work with React from Meteor:

Re:Trucks Are Killing Us on Saturday August 22, 2015 @02:15PM (#10103220)
Have you actually talked with any truck drivers? Are you sure they want it?

Most deaths are not truck drivers, but drivers of cars who enter in collisions with trucks. And truck drivers would like to make more money in shorter periods of time and not spend this time resting someplace away from home.

I hope autopilots will replace truck drivers soon.

Re:Is Windows Phone Dead? on Saturday July 11, 2015 @09:10AM (#9869633)
I agree with you, because we have similar use cases, but desktop gaming is still almost totally windows dependent. So I think games will keep Windows afloat for a while.
How is this framework similar/different with Meteor.js ?
Re:Silicon Valley gets a taste for food on Thursday March 12, 2015 @08:06AM (#9190204)
I happy that they're not only working on taste, but also try to add all the healthy nutrients to the product.
Quote from the article:

"Very few researchers study or even teach sulphur chemistry anymore," said Nazar. "It's ironic we had to look so far back in the literature to understand something that may so radically change our future."

I wonder if is there a structured database of scientific material to address such research?

Re:Will a Breakthrough Solar Technology See the Light of Day? on Thursday October 30, 2014 @05:38AM (#8532049)
I have a manual positioning system for my solar panels, and I would say that difference between not positioned and correctly positioned panel is 2-3 times - in the morning and afternoons especially in winter time.

A similar game but with better graphics: http://netforza.com/verydoge/
Re:Show HN: Best Way to Learn Times Table on Thursday July 24, 2014 @11:13AM (#8079982)
I'm one of the authors, we want to use the same learning system to learn other things, like foreign language words, if you have any ideas where we can use it feel free to tell us.

We're still working to improve it and we strive to achieve levels were you could upload some useful data into your brain by playing fun games.

Re:Show HN: My first platformer game (Mac, Demo) on Saturday July 12, 2014 @07:41AM (#8024304)
Also you could have used a language like Haxe which is very popular with game developers.
Re:Ask HN: What projects are you working on? on Monday June 30, 2014 @03:01AM (#7964033)
Kids of that age group (who learn times table) play other violent games so to keep up we had to do something similar. My son helped us with ideas for this game and he learned times table with it.
Re:Ask HN: What projects are you working on? on Sunday June 29, 2014 @02:07AM (#7960490)
I'm interested in this field and follow it eagerly, how is siacoin different than Storj and MaidSafe?
Re:Ask HN: What projects are you working on? on Sunday June 29, 2014 @02:04AM (#7960488)
I'm working on gamifying learning, here is our first project, it automates the learning of times table, kids like it:

Re:Ask HN: Idea Sunday on Sunday April 20, 2014 @06:51PM (#7618777)
For anti-censorship I would suggest considering technologies like: Ethereum, Storj, MaidSafe which are also for now just ideas.

Also a filter for vegan only dishes will be great.
Re:Flash is dead, long live OpenFL on Saturday March 22, 2014 @07:47PM (#7451391)
There are two UI libraries for openfl, HaxeUI and Stablex:

http://haxeui.org/

https://github.com/RealyUniqueName/StablexUI

btw: There is Objective C target in haxe, so you can develop native apps for iOS in Haxe.

Re:Flash is dead, long live OpenFL on Saturday March 22, 2014 @07:34PM (#7451348)
Here are some showcases:

Also we're waiting for our educational game to be approved by Apple app-store, and will make an announcement when it's done. :)

As a user of an off grid solar system I would like to replace my lead batteries with your compressed air solution, even with efficiency of less than 70% it will work for my needs, because with larger capacity I will be able to collect a lot of energy during summer and use it during cloudy winter.

Also I think you should consider doing a MVP (minimal viable product) with less efficiency but fully functional (as I understood from your blog you're struggling now with improving efficiency) and test it in real life, I think there are a lot of off the grid users in US who would like to test it, because real usage is very different than testing it in lab. You'll be able to test a lot of hardware components and be prepared for larger adoption.

Re:Is it time to move away from silicon-based solar? on Wednesday February 19, 2014 @02:03AM (#7262266)
As an active user of silicon-based solar in self sustained home I would say that we need a more efficient and cheap battery technology. By cheap I mean cost/cycles, current lead acid batteries offer less than 1000 cycles considering 30% usage, improving number of cycles 10 fold and usage to 100% would be great.
Re:Sesame Street Fighter - A Typing Fighting Game on Friday February 14, 2014 @09:01AM (#7238490)
We're doing a similar game teaching times table: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netforza.t...
Re:Lenovo to buy Google's Motorola handset division on Thursday January 30, 2014 @03:42PM (#7153230)
Same thing with selling apps on play store, it seems that google ignores most of the smaller countries.
Re:Why Entrepreneurs Are Bad At Finding Their Competition on Friday December 27, 2013 @05:29AM (#6970153)
I think that sometimes you have to find out what are specific terms used in that field, it might not be initially obvious for a new comer in a field.
