What seems just as concerning is that when you remove a text or a document from a website, there is no way for the outside world to retrieve it. There is not even any material or physical evidence that it ever existed.
Re:Guess a random number between 1 and 50 on Friday July 11, 2025 @05:27AM (#44530111)
Well, that didn’t quite go as you predicted. Claude (Sonnet 4) and Copilot (Think Deeper) both came up with 27. Deepseek (Deepthink R1) claimed it used a random number generator and came up with 17, same as Mistral/LeChat. Then there’s Grok3 (DeepSearch), who suggested 42; the meaning of life. I’m not surprised — Grok’s still in full puberty.
Re:The Joy of Reading Books You Don't Understand on Thursday July 04, 2024 @10:26AM (#40875216)
I get the point. Only a few days ago I watched the restored version of "Jeanne Dielman,...", to its full length of 3 hours and 20 minutes. Nothing happens in that movie, absolutely nothing at all, except for the registration of a housewife's daily routine and a few conversations with her son. Until the last quarter of an hour. You start with boredom, wanting to stop and forget all about it. But then curiosity kicks in, and you learn to appreciate the innumerable small details.

Quite sure that's Elon Musk and not a lookalike or a doctored image?

Mind the notes below, absolutely brilliant!
No, please no. Rather than 'giving more context' images (or thumbnails FTM) would just distract from the subject given in title. I'm 15YO on Reddit and I still use the <old.reddit> interface.

Re:When did “disturb” became the default mode? on Wednesday February 03, 2021 @04:51AM (#26012136)
I have never ever used push e-mail, because I'd hate it too if (paper)post delivery would come with a bang on the door every time there's a letter in the mailbox. So I have never ever been disturbed in my sleep for that reason. You people bring it upon yourselves, nuff said.

Yep, SPAM, pig in a can.
Totally! Actually not 'worse' as such, but search results are more centered around earnings, rather than around providing information. You can't blame them for that, but by shifting focus they can expect a shift in public too.

Drug tolerance, where you need increasingly more of a substance to experience the same elation.
