It's nice having a battery when their soldered ssds crap out after 5 years.
Re:NVMe is not a hard disk on Friday June 11, 2021 @12:57PM (#27475743)
This blog post is the perfect example for "I think I have a deep understanding but I really don't."
You have to stop digging if you can't crawl out of your twisted mind anymore :(
If there wasn't one manager at Mozilla who said to himself maybe in the pandemic with all the working from home stuff being done. Maybe we should look in our webrtc, video codec stack just is sad. No excuse that's just plain bad management.
Slack uses Amazon Chime as backend Chime is using h264 firefox still can not encode h264 videos in real time.
matomo had some "bad" releases so maybe one with a serious bug triggered this and not the program per se.

00s internet culture/content I hear everybody talking about it but I don't really get what is? Do you mean more of a feeling of companionship like in an IRC or Group?
There is a lot of stuff you can do better in person especially with the secrecy behind everything like in apples case. For Grunt work you are totally right.
Re:Reclaim Windows10 on Tuesday June 01, 2021 @01:18PM (#27358003)
You complain about nonsense and than go forward and spread some on your own. You saying that SmartScreen and Defender slows down a Windows machine by a factor of 2 just makes you a nonsense clown.
Re:Valve is making a Switch-like portable gaming PC on Friday May 28, 2021 @05:42AM (#27313387)
It's a reference to a song Sohcahtoa82.
Re:M1racles: An Apple M1 covert channel vulnerability on Thursday May 27, 2021 @12:30AM (#27299419)
Yeah, after two failed Macbooks from 2016 because of their ssds I can just say stay away from apple hardware until they reverse course on storage devices.
Re:Vietnam War images from the North Vietnamese side on Wednesday May 26, 2021 @08:00AM (#27289355)
You mean there weren't photo ops on the american side? Come on it's war there is propaganda everywhere take it all with a grain of doubt.
Re:Vietnam War images from the North Vietnamese side on Wednesday May 26, 2021 @07:58AM (#27289328)
Stop with the whataboutism we don't know if there was a better alternative because we hadn't have the chance to see one. It's that easy it could have been worse or better.
What I took from AO is no matter how far you run or hide if you startle a mob they will always get you.
Re:Show HN: How does the French health pass work? on Wednesday May 19, 2021 @06:29AM (#27206718)
I guess you never traveled internationally or to countries which have mandatory vaccinations. Polio, Yellow Fever etc.
Re:Apple sent my data to the FBI, says boss of Sci-Hub on Tuesday May 18, 2021 @02:10AM (#27191712)
You are saying that if research ie. national security should be compromised it should be for profit? Sounds American alright.
Indexing or rebuilding I guess.
Pflege ist #NichtSelbstverständlich | Joko und Klaas

Edit: It's available on a german video on demand service maybe a vpn will work for you https://www.prosieben.de/tv/joko-klaas-gegen-prosieben/video...

In Germany they showed the whole shift of an covid nurse on tv. They really should show something similar in every country. Gives you a lot of perspective.
Re:We can 3D print wood now on Saturday May 08, 2021 @01:47PM (#27089278)
They use a RAM 336 for printing it seems that the color modulation takes place in the curing process so heat is involved. In my experience there is no way to switch between different sands in process.
Re:We can 3D print wood now on Saturday May 08, 2021 @01:40PM (#27089222)
You are totally right but the headline is misleading.
Re:We can 3D print wood now on Saturday May 08, 2021 @09:29AM (#27086956)
Yeah, you can sand it, depends a lot on your nozzle size and if your printing fully infilled or with thicker fringe. If you are printing with full infill you can basically do whatever you do on normal wood/press board.
Re:We can 3D print wood now on Saturday May 08, 2021 @08:20AM (#27086481)
It feels like wood but like a fresh sanded piece without any post processing.
Re:We can 3D print wood now on Saturday May 08, 2021 @08:17AM (#27086460)
A change of extruding temperature changes the color of the wooden filament and produces features like natural wood would have.
Re:We can 3D print wood now on Saturday May 08, 2021 @08:16AM (#27086451)
We 3D printed wood in 2012. There are lots of filaments available this is just a fluff piece.
To be honest if you are in a country outside of EU just ignore it and look for another provider. The collection agency won't do anything more than send emails for 30 bucks and they can't influence your creditscore.
