https://github.com/seacloud-lab/seasearch

Hi HN, I'm Daniel, co-founder of Seafile.I'm glad to share our open-sourcing project SeaSearch, a search engine written in Go (built on ZincSearch) that we’ve been running in production for over two years for Seafile project. After years of using Elasticsearch, we think there are two main problems with Elasticsearch:It is not lightweight and hard to maintain a clusterAll of seafile tenants' data...

Re:Ask HN: How do you market Open Source Software? on Sunday September 06, 2026 @09:49PM (#49592906)
Out target market include people who have repos in GitHub (opensource), and they connect with their community using Discord, Forum and emails.

The problem we identified is that when managing a repo, customer queries raised in GitHub, or any other platform, to see if that has been resolved before or not, is manual. We are automating this process.

We are not sure in which platform our target market exist but we can categorize from open source teams or devs in software and gaming.

i am not asking if being open source being itself a marketing a strategy, but how people discover them, and what channels work for getting devs to try them.
Re:Ask HN: How do you market Open Source Software? on Friday September 04, 2026 @03:44AM (#49561736)
makes sense. (i have not been clear) my question is not about whether the target market changes , it about how after having a open source product how the distribution changes.
Open source teams, and gaming developers have a hard time to manage discord discussions, with no one channel to resolve the issues.

How can they do it:

1. Create a Forum channel, connect SeaTicket, and for each post it will sync automatically, letting you see in one view the whole conversation.

2. For each reply AI agent will run, and research the issue from your documentation and connected sources like GitHub, email and forums.

3. It will write up a response that you can approve directly, and it will posted directly.

It is free to use, and you can try on your Discord server and let us know the results .

Were you able to find a alternative platform, if you can share what worked for you that would be great. By the way we tried reddit but we were not able to extensively test this, because of account issues and didn't generate results as expected from the start.

We ran X (Twitter) ads for 4 months and here are the results

Duration May - Aug 2026My Background: I am a founder of multiple SaaS company. Most recently i am building a AI native ticketing system for support platforms, simply put it takes your issues coming from Github, Discord, Forum or email and have a AI agent run through all the sources and generate a reply that is posted back. Pricing is tier based with a freemium model, direct signup, without...

Show HN: How we use AI agents for support in an open-source project (Seafile)

Hi HN, i want to share my experience of using AI agents. Background: Running an open-source project is no easy task. With a small team handling every issue means valuable time spend on searching for context and doing the right action.Vision: I believe that well-designed software can revolutionize the way we approach work, enabling us to streamline processes, eliminate redundancies, and unlock...

Re:Show HN: SeaTicket – Duplicate Bug Finder for GitHub on Wednesday July 29, 2026 @03:44AM (#49094517)
Thanks, I appreciate it! That's exactly what we're aiming for
Thanks for the support! We plan to open source SeaTicket once it is mature enough.

Show HN: SeaTicket – AI agent that resolve GitHub and Discord issues

https://seaticket.ai/After maintaining Seafile, open-source file-sync software, since 2012. Somewhere across those fourteen years, "go check if someone already reported this" turned into one of the most common lines in our team chat. Because the same bug tended to show up multiple times. Nothing connected Github and Discord Issues until my team happened to remember seeing "that thing" somewhere...

Re:Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (July 2026) on Friday July 17, 2026 @04:03AM (#48944526)
Working on seaticket, an ai agent for issue tracking and management, built for developers, open source projects and teams supporting self hosted software.

The problem i faced for 12 years working on seafile and seatable: github, discourse forum, email and internal docs all are fragmented and separated form each other, so if a issue comes so my team has to work manually, by finding the exact solution from the docs, and searching for context. we spent more time finding the right answer rather than actually working for product.

as if we don't give the right answer fast, the user will think they don't care about their product. so that's why we built our own ai agent that connects all of them and search by using the vector and keyword to provide the relevant context from everywhere not only the internal docs but also related issues find in the github, forum, or email. which makes our support team faster and we resolve more issues effectively and efficiently.

i want to hear form you guys what you do, and if there are any SaaS like us that we have built that does the same thing.

good to know, i researched about help scout and i think it has a complete different use case, (i am not sure what is your industry and what you do, dont want to make an assumption) but i would say that it works for replying fast for a support inbox. it doesnot integrate to the famous support platforms. The original problem is about finding duplicate issues that are scattered in other platforms, like github, forum or a discord. how you resolve them. otherwise you would have to manually find out the resolution for your self.

Ask HN: How do you handle ticket management across Discord, GitHub, and email?

we run a discord server with our Github, forum and email. i am curious how fellow HNs handle ticket management and issue tracking across multiple support channels and connect wit their internal docs. For example users will report same bug in different channels, this will increase the work load on the devs, and as to the company whole. So i have some questions in my mind: 1. What help desk...

We built the best Help desk platform for all your support issues. your users from Github, Forum and email can now get up to date response from your documentation now. As AI agent will cross reference every issue with your connected sources including the Github, forum and email and also your documents like Website, Confluence, and notion. Then give you a actionable suggestion like write a reply, or suggest you to create a new ticket (if the issue is new). And it will all happen inside this platform. i believe this is best for open source teams and devs as it will help them resolve issues faster, and efficiently.
seaticket
We recently changed the entire homepage of our website, and wanting to know if its good. and what can be improved. before it was words like powered, AI assisted, Unified issue management. now its being changed to simpler terms. which one is more compelling
Seaticket is the platform to manage all your support user community support. Rather than managing each platform separately like Github, forums and email. Bring them in one work space, where AI agent will resolve them automatically using your internal documents, past cases, and live knowledge sources. You just have to review and approve. It makes handling support issues easy, quicker and effective. Provide your users the answer they needed without adding extra burden on your team. It is perfect for Software, Devs, and OSS teams. You can try it for free, and make your user community happy:)
